Hi I'm just wondering which princess meal everyone would prefer. I'm thinking on taking my 6 year old this November

We did Akershus for lunch and 1900 Park Fare for dinner on our last trip and enjoyed both quite a bit. Cinderella's Royal Table is the granddaddy of them all but also the hardest reservation to get and the most expensive. It's also two table service credits if you're on the dining plan.

As for the two we did, Akershus gives you more princesses but 1900 Park Fare is more entertaining. The food is also better at 1900 PF. Here are some pictures from both:

I think it really comes down to which princess your little princess wants to see :)

Our girls were huge Cinderella fans so 1900PF for dinner is great, good food and on par with Chef Mickeys. The castle is a wonderful experience and you get a nice picture with Cinderella but know she is not roaming during the meals.

We never seem to track down pocohantas other then her show and they are dying to get a picture and autograph from her.

I have done both 1900 Park Faire and Akerhaus which we did twice. We prefer Akerhaus for having more princesses and having a way better time.

Food is apples and oranges in my opinion.

1900 Park Faire is American while Akerhaus is Norwegian for Lunch and Dinner. So if you don't have adventurous eaters you would most likely be happier with 1900 Park Faire or Akerhaus for Breakfast.

I think it depends on the princesses your DD would like to see. If she's a Cinderella lover, you might want to go with 1900. If she likes a variety of princesses - go with Akershus. My DD5 loves Aurora and DD6 loves Tink - we went to Akershus and they loved meeting each princess! They gasped when each one came by. (Aurora was one of them that day - it was wonderful).

We did breakfast which was wonderful.

Wow..based on those pictures, I would pick the one with Prince Charming (and leave the hubby at home!!)

I say try for the castle first. They have characters at breakfast and dinner (I can't remember if they do for lunch). The experience of eating in the castle is a must-do for a little girl! If you can't get in, go for one of the other two. They are all fun!

Actually the dinner isn't "really" a character meal in that you only get to meet Cinderella in the lobby and no other characters come to your table. For both breakfast and lunch you still meet Cindy in the lobby but other princesses (and kind of princesses like Alice and Mary Poppins) come around to the tables to visit, sign books and take photos.

Personally we like all of the Princess meals. CRT has good interaction and decent food. 1900 Park Faire has GREAT food and good character interaction. We haven't been since they added the step mom and sisters. Remember the Cindy and friends meal is only at dinner. Breakfast at 1900 has other non-princess characters. The character interactions and princess selections in Norway is the best but we don't like the lunch and dinner foods.

I didn't care for the food so much, but Akershus had terrific Princess interaction! If you're on the dining plan, the photos are now included at this particular meal. (they weren't last year, cost us about $35)

My mom, on the other hand, liked the food, and my daughter said she did, but really was so busy meeting Princesses that she didn't eat much there.

We're doing the 1900 Park Faire this time so we can see the Stepsisters. :)

Thanks for this thread. We have already ate at CRT and wasn't impressed with the food or the way we were rushed through our meal. I won't eat there again, I'm glad we did it once so the kids could have that experience of being in the castle though. This year we are trying Akhersus. I like to stay in the parks for dining!

I have done CRT and Norway (and am doing 1900 Park Fare next week). If I had to choose between CRT and Norway, I would go with CRT. I love lunch there, so much fun.

we did CRT and the princess storybook breakfast in Epcot, honetly, I didn't care for the food at either. PSB was much better then CRT food wise though. There is nothing like eating breakfast in the castle, and maybe getting some great shots of the castle, and Walt and Mickey without a TON of people in your pictures. If I had to choose one, I would choose PSB though (i've never done 1900) Food was better, plus it felt like the princesses spent more time with us

Sorry, it WAS lunch, not dinner that we had characters.
