We are going to be staying at the Polynesian prior to our Disney Cruise. I was thinking about getting PS for two of the nights. Does anyone have any recommendations? I am also open to a restuarant within the parks...

We love both Ohana & Kona. Flying Fish is my new Favorite. Check out wdwig.com for menu's. Also Epcot has great places to dine & then watch Illunations

Kona Cafe used to be my favorite restaurant in WDW, until we tried Ohana on our last trip. Now its a toss up,with Ohana having an edge. I dont think you can go wrong with either one.

I highly recommend Kona Cafe for breakfast (best coffee anywhere) and 'Ohana for a delicious and festive dinner (especially festive if you order some of the awesome drinks from the Tambu Lounge!).

Enjoy!

The Kona was one of my favorite meals at Disney the year we stayed at the Poly. Quite delicious and a good selection. We had both a lunch and dinner there, but I have also heard great things about their breakfast. I would definitely eat there again. O'hana was good and the kids loved the entertainment at dinner time (coconut races, marching around etc.) and we also enjoyed the character breakfast. But, I would have to rate the Kona's food quality higher.

We haven't eaten/stayed at Poly yet (will be in April), but I can highly recommend LeCellier in EPCOT. It has fabulous filet mignon. The cheese soup appetizer is also very good.

You really should try the Tonga Toast at the Kona at Poly. It is a french toast stuffed with bananas and topped with cinnamon and sugar. It is famous on these boards and with WDW guests from all over the world.

Kona, Kona, Kona!:D

Great for B,L&D.

Here is an interesting alternative... take the monorail to MK and then snag the boat service to WL and spend an evening having a fun dinner at Whispering Canyon or a nice upscale dinner at Artist Point (my boys love the white chocolate mickey puzzle). You can catch the geyser going off on the hours. You can also view the electric parade from WL. Makes for an interesting alternative.

These are all great ideas! I am glad to hear the great reviews of the POLY restaurants. Thanks everyone for the ideas!

We tried O'Hana's last year and loved it ... we try to keep the costs down when we go to WDW but last year decided to splurge since I had heard so many good things about O'Hana's. It was well worth the money!!! I already have our PS's for this year's visit!

[We're also going to try Whispering Canyon at the Wilderness Lodge this year for the first time too since that restaurant always gets mentioned as a favorite.]
