Just wondering from those more experienced....we'll be staying at CBR the first week of Dec and want to do a carriage ride with the kids. We'd like to do dinner and then the carriage ride (we are early diners, probably dinner at 5 or 5:30)...

Tell me which place you would pick based on travel to get there (we will have a car), places to eat (makes sense to eat where the ride will take place), and the actual carriage ride scenery (if you've been on one at that resort before).

Hope this all makes sense...I'm a bit over tired right now :teeth:

Have you seen this page: http://www.wdwinfo.com/recreation/trailride.htm#back

It looks like carriage rides are offered at

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground
"A relaxing and cozy 25 -minute carriage ride through Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. " $35.00 for 30 minutes (includes tax)

Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Resort "A relaxing and cozy 25 -minute carriage ride through Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Resort" $35.00 for 25 minutes (includes tax)

Or you could have "A relaxing and cozy 25 -minute carriage ride through Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa" $35.00 for 25 minutes (includes tax)

We're thinking about doing the carriage ride around Saratoga Springs. This is right across from DTD so there's lots of dining choices. DH said he's heard the one at POR is nice too, although I'm not as familiar with this resort, but there's info linked on the above page about each place if you want to check it out.

Are they also doing the Sleigh Ride at Ft. Wilderness this year....I seem to remember reading somewhere that it is going in the month of December...

There is also a Sleigh Ride (Not carriage) at Wilderness Lodge for the month of December. Same price $35 and it's right in front of WL. You better call ASAP..they go fast.

I love, love, love Port Orleans and think it's the most romantic of the resorts that offers the carriage ride! The resort is situated on the river, so it aside from the beautiful scenery, the river makes it romantic too...
