Yes; coincedentally, around the time that AT&Ts sponsorship of Spaceship Earth was expiring, General Electric was in talks to purchase Universal (and create the new media company NBC Universal), and so pulled out of their long-standing sponsorships of Illuminations and SpectroMagic. Since Siemens owns Sylvania, their lightbulbs are sponsoring the Illuminations and SpectroMagic shows, and Siemens communications divisions are sponsoring Spaceship Earth.
