Which Parks On Martin Luther King Day?

We are going to WDW in January. Our first day in the parks is Sunday before MLK. For Sunday and Monday, which parks do you suggest going to? Does it thin out on Tuesday?

We will be there that weekend also (Jan. 14-21). On Sunday we are doing the Extra Magic Hour - if they don't change it - at MK. Then lunch at Cinderella's. After that we are heading back to AKL. The kids (9 & 10) will go to Simba's Club and DH and I will just enjoy our balcony, with fast food from Mara. We will stay out of the parks as they will be crowded.

On Monday - we are not doing EMH, but will be heading over to Animal Kingdom later to see the parade - then heading over to Epcot for an Illumination cruise.

Trying to get the Illumination cruise on MLK day will be difficult, but I have my fingers crossed! We'll probably have dinner on the Boardwalk.

By Tuesday, the crowds will be gone and, although the park hours will be shortened, you will get a ton of things done.

I think that the Illuminations cruise would be fun too. I'm just thinking it would be hard to book. I have Epcot planned for Sunday and Animal Kingdom on Monday. Suppose those are bad choices?

The only thing that may be hard for you to pull off is staying at Epcot for Illuminations (please don't miss this show!) on Sunday night and going the AK for Extra Magic Hour (which is Monday for this park).

Otherwise, sleep in on Monday and head over to AK later, catch the parade! I'll be the one totally boogie-ing to the parade music over in Harambe!

I'm sorry. I realize that there are a few days left before my trip. However, I understand MLK to be a busy time, and it has me a little worried. Thanks for your helpful information, though.
