Hi, my family and I are going to the Fort Wilderness Campground for 3 days, Feb. 18 - 21. I need help deciding which parks to go to. My two older boys want to go to Universal Studios but we do not have a rental car, only a huge 31' RV. Since we are staying on Disney property I thought we would take advantage of the free transportation to all the Disney parks. But I also was interested in SeaWorld. Is it worth going to these outside parks, or should I just stick with the Disney Parks? When the boys where younger (2 & 4) we went to MK, Epcot, and MGM, but my 9 year old daughter has never been to Florida. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Do you think your boys are too old for Magic Kingdom? My girls (same age) still love it, great rides like space mountain and splash mountain. Epcot could be fun, slower pace, not sure they'd enjoy a full day of it! MGM has a few good rides but not a days worth, maybe split it with a water park or Disney Quest? We really enjoy Universal.

I say definitely MK-They're not too old and it has the most rides. Then I would say MGM. I think they will like both those parks. If you're splurging on hoppers, you could even then hit EPCOT in the evenings after the other two parks close.

I agree with definitely doing MK. Its my kids favorite by far. Then I would say do a half day at Epcot (Futureworld) and half day at MGM. There's enough of a variety of rides at each to entertain them. Get some maps and decide before you go what you'd like to do and in what order. That way you have all your decisions made and will save lots of precious time!

My boss just got back from the world, and I asked him the same questions (my boys are 13 & 10)....his two favorites... (and mind you, he's just a big kid himself) MGM and Universal Studios.

I think Universal Studios is a must for kids that age....I think I'd spend the extra $ to take a cab or something.

I would stick with Disney parks. Would it be possible for you to get a three-day hopper ticket and do more than two parks since you're going to be there three days? You can't get them through Disney, but they are available -- someone else will be able to tell you where. If you had hopper tickets, you could go to all four parks if you wanted. You also would qualify for e-night if any end up being offered. These are nights that Mk is open for three extra hours for $12 to a limited number of guests. You have to be a resort guest with a multi-day ticket to qualify. Nine rides are open, and, because there's no lines, you usually can ride your favorites multiple times.

MK is my 9-year-old's favorite park. He loves all three mountains and Buzz Lightyear. He feels he's way past Fantasyland -- all of it -- probably because of the influence of two older brothers. If he could only do two parks, he would have trouble deciding betwen Epcot and MGM. At Epcot, he likes Test Track, Mission Space Imagination and (even though it's just a small thing) Ice Station Cool. He also really likes World Showcase, although this has been a gradual development. He loves Imaginum (living statues) in Italy, Miyuki in Japan and Le Mime Roland and A Chair Act in France and to eat at San Angel, Marrakesh and Teppanyaki. At MGM, his favorites are Rock 'n Roller Coaster, Star Tours and Muppets.

:earsboy:Thanks for all your great advise. I'm so glad forums like this exist. I would never be able to make good informed decisions without all your help. Well, does anybody know where you can get a 3 day park hopper or a 1-day ticket since they don't sell them at disney.com. Also, nobody seems too keen on Animal Kingdom Why?

I am not sure where to get a 3 day ticket, maybe AAA or something like that. AK was not listed here I would guess because some do not like it as much as others and because of your limited time the other parks are better in many opinions. We are going for 5 days and will go to AK for a half day. We hope to get 1 1/2 days at each MK and MGM our favorites. Many say MGM is less than 1 day but to ride TOT many times it will take a day and a half.

I would stick to the Disney parks since you are staying on property. Our next trip will have to be longer so we can get out ourselves.

Alamo sells a 3 day Park Hopper with 1 plus feature. Call 800-560-2397. They are $169/adults & $135/kids 3-9. I just ordered ours from them a few days ago :)
