We are visiting in Oct and will be taking our 7 year od and just turned 4 year old. We are planning on visiting MK and AK. Are Epcot and MGM worth it for kids these ages? I'm worried that too much amy be over their heads and too many they are too small for many of the rides. We are debating on buying park hopper passes or single day passes. We will be staying at Coronado Springs for 4 nights and will be there for almost 5 full days. Any advice?

MGM has great shows that they would probably like...beauty & the beast and mupprt 3d were some of our favorites last trip with 4 year old...and fantasmic at MGM is great...you could also do a walk around at EPCOT world showcase in the evening after AK (closes early) and catch Illuminations that night

Last year I took two daughters who were 4 and 7, and a 2 yr old son. While MK WAS their favorite, they LOVED MGM and Epcot. My 7 yr old really loved the Great Movie Ride and MuppetVision 3D at MGM. The 4 yr old adored the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground and Disney Playhouse. If I had to choose the parks for kids that age, I'd say MK, MGM, AK, and Epcot.

BUT, my kids did really like Epcot. They got a big kick out of Ice Station Cool and getting their passports stamped.

Your kids will probably be like mine...one day they'll just want to play at the pool and arcade. So, you might just want single day tickets. But, remember park hoppers don't expire, so if you are going to be going back, you might want to go ahead and buy them. I love the flexibility in park hoppers. We would go to a different park each day and almost always make it back to Epcot each night for dinner or just enjoying the beautiful world showcase all lit up.

I agree with princess lovers mom. The studios has a lot for younger children. The muppets, Little Mermaid, Beauty & the beast, playhouse disney, animation, Tram backlot tour, & GMR. You can easily do this in a half day. EC would be great in the evenings they can visit the kid stops in the countries. They will enjoy the living sea, land & imagination.

Our dd (now 4.5) enjoys all the parks. They all have something for kids. I've found that Epcot is the best place to meet characters.

This will be her 3rd trip.

If you can only do a couple, then I'd recommend:
(in order)

MK

either AK or MGM (depending on your kids. If they like Playhouse Disney, then MGM, if they like animals, then AK)

Epcot last

My boys are 6 and 2, and Magic Kingdom is definitely their favorite. I think Animal Kingdom and MGM are tied for second in their eyes. They love the Boneyard at AK, but they also love all of the stuff at MGM. MGM has so much for them to do. My youngest loves Playhouse Disney and the Beauty and the Beast Show. My oldest loves the Star Tours and Honey I Shrunk the Kids Playground. Also, MGM is one of the best place to see characters. We have seen lots of characters there that we didn't see anywhere else like Hercules and Mulan. They seemed to like EPCOT okay but other than the kid stations at the different countries, they weren't that interested. We still had fun there though.

We were just in WDW this summer and my kids were 7 and 4. They love MK. We did this park soo many times. MGM was another of their favorites because of the shows. Epcot was so so for them. They really liked Spaceship Earth, and test track. I do believe they could have done just those two things and been happy to leave Epcot. We have yet to hit the World Showcase. Animal Kingdom is a hard one for my kids. They loved the safari, the lion king show, the rapids ride, and was ready to leave. We loved Dinosaur, but my son says that he isn't going on that thing again (he's the oldest :teeth: ) I think you really have to know what your kids enjoy. Besides it's Disney and I think you should expose them to as much as possible.
