We are going to WDW for 2 days after our 4 day Disney cruise in Feb. We will have our DD8, DS 2 1/2 and DD 10 month old. We will have a hopper pass but we are not sure where the best places are to take the 2 little ones.
Are there some secret places that my 2 yo can go and climb on something and run when he gets tired of the lines? Is Animal Kingdom a good place for the younger ones and do they have any rides there? Thanks!

AK has the dinosaur boneyard playground area; just an area for kids to let off steam. DS 23 months really liked the Lion King show there, although he was a little unsure of the 'scary' part he just sat mesmerized and watched.

MK is by far the most 'kid friendly'. There is a little Pooh play area right near dumbo in fantasyland, as well as all the rides in fantasyland for the kids. DS loves to play in the fountains by the boat in Toontown Fair by Mickeys House, and loved the characters. He loved buzz lightyear, which you older child will probably appreciate as well. ds loved IASW, and Philharmagic (which your older child will probably like as well).

If your kids watch the disney channel, all the kids seemed very excited at the Playhouse Disney Live on Stage show at MGM. DS doesnt have cable so he had no clue as to what the excitement was about. :rotfl:

Honestly, as much as I love Epcot for big kids and adults, we found that poor ds really had no interest in anything there. He didnt mind spaceship earth or the ride in Mexico, but really he wasnt too excited about any of it.

I would plan on spending most of your time in the MK. There is just so much to do with that age group.

Loved Epcot because of the more mellow boat rides like living earth and walking around the World Showcase. Mgm was alos a lot of fun but Magic Kingdom was actually the most annoying because it was the most crowded. I let hime walk around a lot at Epcot and MGM but at MK he had to stay in the stroller ost of the time because of the crowds so he was not happy.

IASW is Its a Small World - sorry :-) It is in Fantasyland; an area that can get very busy midday. IMHO I would hit Fantasyland first to avoid the crowds as DS did not like waiting in lines. He liked Pooh there (was a little scared but it was one of the first rides we went on), Philharmagic is a 3D show which is why your older child will probably like like it; ds just watched it fuzzy without the glasses. I did see 1 baby get taken out b/c he was crying - it is kinda loud like a movie theatre. The carousel, dumbo, Peter Pan, are all in Fantasyland and a big hit with the little crowd. The pooh playground is there and is new this fall; may be a good place for one parent to relax with the little ones while the other parent goes with the older child.

IDK if you plan on your kids sleeping in the stroller or not, but if you do, it worked well for us to do all the fantasyland, toontown and the buzz lightyear ride(ds's favorite character) first, and then he was ready to sleep for awhile and the older people (all adults in our case) were able to take turns with the more adventurous rides. This may be an option so that your dd gets some time to go on the 'big stuff' that the kiddos are too small for. One not to miss is Splash Mountain for her. The inside of the ride is so cute and fun; I am scared to death of roller coasters but I handle the big drop because of all the great stuff before it.

Hope you have a great trip!
