My DH and I plan to arrive between 6:30-7 am Friday morning. Which lot should we park in- Toy Story or Mickey& Friends? I am assuming trams/buses will be running at that time. If not, then Mickey & Friends is the lot since we can walk from there easily. I am guessing the line up will be well into DTD!

Thoughts? Strategies?

I always park in Mickey & Friends and since you're going so early you'll be able to park much closer to the front :)

^ Correct.

I know a TON (friends, family and co-workers) of people that are planning on camping out all night. By the time you get there, I expect much of the parking will already be filled up.

I agree. I think by 6 am most of Mickey parking will be gone. I think most of the standard parking areas will be gone. You'll probably be in Toy Story parking or in one of the resort parking areas, which is overflow for theme park parking.

I would think Mickey & Friends woudl be best. It's going to be crazy this Friday so good luck. I may show up later in the afternoon but it depends on who my work schedule is.

I didn't realize they ever gave you a choice of where to park?:confused3

When we've driven, it's always been with my sister who is handicap & no matter what time of day it seems we always end up in Mickey & Friends. I just assumed you weren't given a choice. But maybe this has something to do with her handicap parking and less to do with choice??

I do know that they have a nice drop off area. So if you can get someone to maybe drop you off so you don't have to camp out just to get a parking space, that might be a good option.

They are having all CMs park elsewhere to "help" with the parking situation. We shall see.

FYI on the handicap parking. If that fills up, they send you off to the rest of M&F parking structure like everyone else. That happened to us during the week of Christmas.

Yes! Us too! We usually get right up front parking that isn't inside the parking structure. However on our last trip with my sister, we had to park way back in the garage but still in a handicap space. This space was way too far away for her:headache: but we were still in the M&F parking.

Good thinking! I'll have my DH drop me off and then HE can figure out parking. I am so not interested in camping out- but showing up early is fine for me. All I hope is to get at RSR FP that is for before 4 pm! Since we are going to the Angel game Friday night. :yay:

We want to walk around, shop, have our lunch at Carthay Circle, and that's the extent of our "expectations".

If you drive in on Ball Road, you can either go south toward the Toy Story lot, or go west toward Mickey. I usually park in Mickey but honestly I think it'll be full or close to it by 6:30 am. Anyone know the capacity of the parking structure?

I have 2 CM friends and they confirmed they're required to park down at Angel Stadium...which they are less than thrilled about since the Angels are in town so parking will be a nightmare for everyone!
