Which park would you recommend going to twice?

We will be in Disney for 7 days/6 nights. We will be arriving early and leaving late so we will have a 1/2 day to spend on the first and last day of our trip. We didn't get a park hopper pass so we will have to do one park a day which is fine, but we don't know which parks we will do more than once. We do have two days for MK but weren't sure about the others. Any suggestions? It's hard b/c we are trying to book our PS but don't know where we want to be!

Since you have 2 days at the MK, I would plan on 2 days at Epcot, because it's soooo big! Plus there's a huge choice of dining

Well I can tell you that this year I may spend more time at Epcot. Last year I went to Epcot and didn't even know about most of the stuff that was there...all I ended up doing was donig WS and half of Innovations, this year I am actually going to look at other stuff (now that I know it's there) and I am sure that it will all take more than one day. But that's just my opinion :)

I plan on spending more time at Epcot this year too. We usually walk right through the WS & barely stop to look around. I'd like to take it a little slower this time. :)

I too would spend a second day in Epcot! You can easily see MGM and AK in one day, but Epcot & MK need more than one day. One whole day, you could concentrate just on the world showcase, plus as was mentioned there are more dining choices in Epcot! :flower:

My husband and I went to Disney in 96 and Epcot was our least favorite of the parks. Our kids are 4 and 5 and we thought we could get through Epcot in one day with them b/c we don't remember it being as kid friendly as the others. Has that much changed?

MK & Epcot are Minimum 2 Day Parks for us. There is so much to do at both, it is impossible to do either in one day.

Epcot has gotten a bit more kid friendly, particularly in the World Showcase with the passport system (you can buy a passport that the kids can get stamped in each country), and the kidcot stations (arts & crafts). This will be the first time that we are planning to spend time in WS with the kids, as they are now older, but I find myself wishing we had done it when they were younger. I find Future World very kid friendly. Educational, yes, but fun, too!

It's definitely a two day park!!

I have to say that I am surpised by everyone saying Epcot. We were actually thinking about doing MK and MGM two days. We thought MGM b/c we are doing Fantasmic and with the parade and shows, we thought for sure we'd be there for two days. We definately have something to think about now!

My vote is for 2 days at Epcot too. My kids love Epcot , and Ive said it before in other posts that the more we go ( just got back from our 10th trip ) the more time we spend in Epcot. Its too bad you dont have the hoppers, because we love hopping over to Epcot at night and walking thru the counties! Even if its just for 2 or 3 hours.

But since you cant hop.. definately 2 days at Epcot. I think one full day at MGM should be enough. Or if you have a half day at the end of you trip.. go there if you can. At ages 4 & 5, they cant do RnRc.. but they can probably do ToT. Beauty & the Beast on stage is great, Playhouse disney, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, and Muppets 3-D are all great for little ones. My kids like Indiana Jones, but there is gun fire, explosions, fire, and its loud. You could do the backlot tour if you have a lot of time, but that takes a while to get thru. See the characters too! Check out Buzz and Woody back at ALs Toy Barn. Our favorite place for lunch is Sci Fi. The kids LOVE sitting in those cars to eat!! Dinner for us is always Pizza planet ( unless we are there more than one day, and then we do lunch here on the second day) Oh, let them play in the Honey I shunk the kids playground. Make sure they stick their hands in the big dog nose! He sniffs you!! :earseek: If you want to meet the incredibles, then you have to go through the Magic Of Disney Animation.. about 15 minutes long, and then you can continue on to Mr and Mrs Incredible. I read they are doing soft openings for the new stunt show. Go see if you can check that out too.

You kids might not like Indy, or the back lot tour. They wont like Sounds Dangerously, and who wants to be a millionaire is boring for the kids when they are little. Star Tours may be a little scarey too. If you plan out the timing of what you want to do at MGM, you can get a lot done. Try to get a times guide at the resort before you get there. plan out what time the shows start and when to see them. I found that we end up walking around missing shows.. and its a time waster. Especially with one day.

Epcot.. its great to have NO plan there.. and just walk and check everything out. Kid cot stations at every country, making pressed pennies gets the kids excited to look for the new ones in each country too. There is a mini train set up at Germany and my kids love the hedge maze in UK. THe boat ride in Mexico is cute, and we love Maelstrom in Norway along with the viking ship there too. Epcot is Awesome.

The next time DW and I go, we're planning on doing a full day at Future World, and then going back for a full night at World Showcase at some other point in the week. There's so much to do and see at the world showcase, and so many great places to eat.

I would also really spend two days at the Magic Kingdom, especially if you have children. Even for adults, there's just too many rides to go on at the MK in one day.

MGM's kind of a toss up as to how many days you need there. If you're in love with the attractions (DW, my sister-in-law, and I are obsessed with Millionaire and Tower of Terror), then it's worth it to go back for another day.

Animal Kingdom is really just kind of a one day event, IMO. The only reason I can think of for going back to it would be if you weren't able to catch the Safari early in the morning. I've been on the ride a ton of times, and there are many many more animals out first thing in the morning than at other times in the day. In the afternoon, most of them are hiding in the shade or sleeping.

My vote is EPCOT....have to agree with most of the others. MGM just doesn't have enough, IMO for 2 days. AK definately doesn't have enough for 2 days. EPCOT has so much to offer...my ds was older than your kids when we went the first time and didn't want to do the passport thing but heard that is great. Also, EPCOT is very spread out and lots of walking. Personally, I would add the money and do PH's but that's just me...we like to do the WS in the evenings as it's a lot of walking and if going in the :sunny: hot and humid weather, it's exhausting. Anyway, w/o ph's, MGM and AK, you'll do in a day each.

My ds is 7 and Epcot is his favorite park. He loves MK too. For a 4 and 5 year old you will probably have to skip Mission: Space and Test Track. I can't remember what the height requirements are, but they might be too intense. But there is so much to do. The Living Seas, Journey into Imagination, Spaceship Earth, Honey, I Shrunk the Audience, fountains for the kids to play in, video games in Innoventions. Around World Showcase they have different preformers. My ds got a kick out of the Living Statues, but I hear there has been a change in entertainment, but you may still be able to see acrobats in China. There is music and it's very lively. My ds also liked looking around Germany and Norway. Norway also has a ride.

So, here's another vote for Epcot!

MK takes me 2 whole days, Epcot takes me usually 1.5 days but I could drag it to 2 or do it in 1, depending on how long I'm there for. AK only takes me a few hours because the only things there that I really enjoy are Kilimanjaro Safaris and Festival of the Lion King. But sometimes DS wants to do Primeval Whirl so we'll do that too. Dinosaur is the only ride at WDW we've done that scared him. (HISTA scared him, not really a ride though). I can do MGM in a day too but everything there I could do 10 times without complaining. :cool1:

We just returned and spent 2 days at MK,2 at MGM and one each at the other parks. There is more to see at MGM and the atmosphere there is lots of fun too! We saw all the shows but didn't have time for the parade. We saw Fantasmic twice. There is a great variety of rides here as well.We ate at Brown Derby,Sci FI (for the kids) and Prime Time (which we loved)My vote is 2 days at MGM!

We spent 4 partial days of 6 park hopper days at Epcot. They told me Epcot stands for Every Person Comes Out Tired and I think that's true, it's a alot to ground to cover I mean after all you are walking around the world. Especially if you have kids who like the Kidcot Masks, it can be a bit time consuming looking for the stations (note: most are located in the back of the countries inside a store which sells...guess what...TOYS  ) Our first night we were there from about 2pm until 9pm. The second day we went about at about the same time but left earlier. On the sixth day of our trip, we went to Epcot at about 4pm until 9pm again (saw Illuminations a second time woo hoo). Then our final day we went back again for a couple of hours before our flight took off. My 10 yr old son is gifted and has a fascination for science so he was in HEAVEN at Epcot. We were able to ride all rides we wanted at all other parks in one day, but we did visit MK for 3 partial days as well... once for rides, once for Spectromagic and Wishes, and once to get a few pics/autographs we had left on the kids' wish list.

We usually like to go back to Epcot WS if we have time at the end of our trip.

Wow, we have so much to think about. I really thought that one day in Epcot would be enough with a 4 and 5 year old. We thought we would need 2 days in MGM since we are doing the Fantasimic dinner package and would like to see all the shows. I guess we may have to re-evaluate!
