I need advise on our plan and settling a martital dispute. ;) We will be staying at the GC. Checking in Tues, Sept 24th, checking out Mon Oct 1st. Here is what I have so far, I'm having a hard time deciding which parks to do which mornings(will park hop most days)

Tues- Check-in GCH early, do EMH @ DCA

Wed- EMH @ DLP Blue Bayou lunch

Thurs- EMH@ DCA or DL (can't decide)

Friday- Sleep in, Surfs Up breakfast, DL @4pm for MHP

Sat-EMH @ ? Have F! dessert seating in the evening

Sun- EMH @ DCA since there will be no choice, schedule goes back to alternating days.

I think I have too many choices here to make a decision!:rotfl2:

One of us wants to do 3EMHs at DL and 1 of wants 3 at DCA, but I'm not telling who. Thoughts? Feelings?

Others will correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that you will not have a choice as to which park for early entry.
Sun-M-W-F = DCA early entry
Tu-Th-Sat = DL early entry

From Disneyland website regarding EMH

"When is it?
For a limited time — from July 16 through September 29 — Resort hotel Guests can select which park they wish to visit during each morning of their hotel stay — regardless of the day of the week.

Starting September 30, registered Resort hotel Guests will have Extra Magic Hour access to one park according to the early admission schedule."

Well, it definitely depends on which park you prefer. Personally, I would spend 3 EMHs at DCA. DL just isn't as crowded early in the morning since CL opened so I really don't think it's necessary to go over there an hour early. (Even pre-CL, most lines didn't get too long until closer to 11.) DCA, on the other hand, is crazy busy starting right at park opening. If you go in for EMH, you can (potentially) ride RSR three times and get FPs for later before the hordes even catch up. You can still get on Luigi's and Mater's quickly before those lines build. Then, since everyone else is waiting in the 90+ minute RSR line, you can pretty much walk on anything else in the park for the next 30-45 minutes. If you do not go early, you will have a choice between trying to ride RSR or trying to get a FP. While you are doing that, the lines for Luigi's and Mater's are building. By the time you are done with those, TSMM will have a long line . . . you get the idea here.

Note that my opinion is biased because we are big DCA fans. Our kids are past the Fantasyland age (thank goodness) and there are only a few rides at DL we'd want to ride more than once. I think that one EMH (or even one regular morning) at DL would be plenty for us. If you want to ride everything in Fantasyland 14 times (and keep in mind that's about all that is open during EMH at DL), then definitely do 3 EMHs at DL. :)

As a fellow planner, I'm sure you don't want to hear this... but I would play it by ear. I know, I know - but by Thursday, you'll have a good idea of what EMH feels like in both parks, and in which park you feel like you need more EMH time.

Hmm... I wonder if you could leave one EMH halfway through and go over to the other park? Then you will both get 2.5 EMHs. :)
