Which park to skip...

I'd also skip Epcot. My wife and I were just talking about how it has gone from one of our favorite parks to our least favorite, as the other parks have added attractions over the years. We still enjoy it, but it is definitely in need of some new attractions.

I just came home from a trip that I tagged along with my friend while she was at a conference. It was just the two of us, no husbands or kids. We spent four days in the parks, one park each day but didn't start some days until the afternoon due to her conference. We went during F&W so I'm glad we did Epcot, but really...it kinda has lost its luster to me. With all the changes in AK and DHS, they have edged out Epcot for me. With your partner being a newbie, I say MK, AK, and DHS. Pandora and TSL are just too awesome to miss and Epcot really is going to be the same (except the Frozen ride) as when you went last probably.

Add the park hopper. Do one in the morning and the other in the evening.

I would actually say, Do Animal Kingdom in the Morning. Rope Drop flight of the avatar/Pandora. Ride the Safari and do Expedition Everest as many times as you can until you throw up and then go to Hollywood Studios.

Do this AK/HS day before you go to Epcot. You might get bored at epcot and wish to go check out one of the other two parks more in depth. I loved epcot, I couldn't spend an entire rope to close day at Epcot. There is only so much you can eat lol

I agree that a newbie will be underimpressed with Epcot unless he /she is a foodie. I would do AK and HS any day!!! There just aren’t hardly any rides and it’s expensive. I always feel like I’m in a big mall shopping and eating

I would skip Epcot. Unless you plan on spending 3/4 of the day in WS. FW is barely a half day. I know if i were going on a first time short trip i wouldn’t want to spend that much time in WS.

AK is such a unique park. DHS has two awesome rides with ToT and RnRC plus Star Wars stuff.
