Have to decide which park to make full and which for half.
Which would you do half and which full between AK and HS? I can't decide. Have 3 kids ages 8, 7 and 3.5.

TIA

I would choose HS also for 1/2 day... but the second half of possible.
TSL looks like it would be great to see at night!

I would not say HS, nor would I say AK. It truly depends on what your kids like and what they're interested in. You could easily make full days out of both parks, and you could also hit either of them in half a day...depending on what they like. So give us some idea of their interests...do they like thrill rides, shows, animals, Star Wars, etc...?

They def like the rides, no shows, no Star Wars. Not huge animal lovers but they would like safari ride.

In this case, definitely half at HS. You might even be able to do half at both, but not as likely at AK. I'd plan for half to full days at both, and then when you're done head back to the hotel for pool time (or to another park/water park).

Agree with Klayfish. There is still a lot to do at HS and we have never done half days at HS. Now with TSL and the fact that you do need to see it at night there is just much more to experience and really enjoy in a half day. We like all the rides, enjoy the shows, love eating at 50’s Prime time for a mid day lunch and rest period. Even at night watching Fantasmic or Star Wars is something we like to do to end the night. Full day for us. :)

Good points!

OP could even do morning at HS, break mid afternoon for whatever they were wanting to accomplish by making it a half day, and then head back in the evening to experience the park at night.

If they don't like shows, that takes out a lot of what your 3.5 yo can do at either park.
I still would agree to making HS the half day and do the last half. Have not seen TSL yet, but photos nad videos at night look amazing. Although Pandora at night is also pretty amazing.
I think the kids would have more fun at AK. They can become a Wilderness Explorer if they wiah as well.

Gag - I can't imagine making either of these parks a half day now!

But if forced to pick one as a half day - HS.

I think the only park my niece (who is 8) would pick as a half day would be EPCOT right now. As long she got to do the rides in Future World - she'd be fine.

We have a half day planned at DHS on a MVMCP day so we are looking at hitting it all from 9am-2pm then heading for a break and on to MK for the party. Even with TSL, I don't anticipate it being a full day. However, if you and the kids like shows and are into some of the characters at DHS, you could very well make it two it a full day. We park hopped our last time at AK and DHS and felt like we needed more time at AK but were happy with the amount of time spent at HS, not much of interest for us there.
