Which park do you think would be the least crowded/best to visit on Memorial Day?

Is Memorial Day (Monday) less crowded than the previous Sat. and Sun. because the folks taking a long weekend go back home?

In 2003, we were in Epcot. The lines at the gate were much longer than usual, but once in, nothing seemed crowded, even TT. Would definitely go there again on Memorial Day.

Epcot seems to absorb crowds better. I would still get there at opening, get your fastpasses, and head over to WS right at 11 a.m. We did Spaceship Earth at 3 in the afternoon a few weeks ago, and there was no line at all. Most people do that when they enter the parks so afternoon/evening is a good time to do it.

We were there this past Memorial Day and the MK wasn't as crowded as we thought it would be.

Maybe if you really wanted to go to MK that day you could get in at opening and then when it started to get more crowded than you wanted.. hop on over to another park.

Agreeing with DVCJen, Magic Kingdom actually has light crowds on Memorial Day (especially the last two years since EE has moved to Sunday.) The same holds true for Labor Day Monday, another good day to go to MK.

But, that said, Epcot is also a good choice.

My tentative plan (arriving late on the Thursday before Mem. Day) is:

Friday - MK
Saturday - AK
Sunday - MGM
Monday - Epcot

We'll be there the rest of that week, but hopefully it will be less crowded than Memorial Day Weekend.

If you are there the rest of the week, you might consider taking a rest day on Sat or Sun when the crowds will be bad. We'll get in the Fri before and I'm so concerned about crowds I'm considering:

Sat - explore resort and pools
Sun - GATORLAND
Mon - MK / Epcot

This will be my kids' first time at WDW (though they've been to DLR and DLP), so I don't think I can get by with a day of rest early in our visit. We plan to buy APs, so if we only hit a park for a few hours, that's fine.

Missy Pie, We were in WDW this past Memorial Day week. We arrived on Sunday and spent the day at MK, then on Monday we went to Animal Kingdom. It was really hot but not very crowded,
Tues we went to MGM, Wed Epcot, Thurs Blizzard Beach and Friday back to MK. I was surprised at how crowded MK was on Sunday. I had been 3 yrs ago on Labor Day weekend and wasn't near as crowded as Mem Day week. Animal Kingdom wasn't bad tho.

I went there this past Memorial day and I'd use Memorial Day as a day off to rest and go to parks on other days.
