Which park on a Thursday in August? Which day for water park?

I've got all my guidebooks open, but I don't see any recommended parks for Thursday. This will be our first day of our vacation. I'm thinking Epcot because it's not my favorite park!

Also, our travel agent suggested TL for Saturday. I think Ive read that it's crowded on Summer weekends because of locals. Which day have you had success with in the summer?

And while you're critiquing, here's the rest of the tentative schedule:
Thur, Epcot.
Fri - MK;
Sat - TL; Fantasmic
Sun - early entry MK & MGM;
Mon - early entry at AK & BB
Tues - MGM
Wed - MK
Thur - AK and depart

I would think you might be better off going to TL on Thursday and doing Epcot on Saturday. Whatever you do though, I agree with you and think that I'd avoid the waterparks on the week-ends.

That's a good idea. Thursday is check in day and who knows what time we'll get our room. Saturday's are supposed to be a good day for EPCOT too! Thanks for your suggestion, Eeyore!

water park on thursday after check in sounds good, and from what i have experienced, the water parks are a ghost town in the mid to late afternoon. All the folks that have been there from open are bushed by then and the places clear out pretty well. We had TL pretty much to ourselves from 2:30 on one day.
