Which park officially starts your vacation?

i always feel like the vacation has truly begun when we get the folder thingie they give you when you check in. when you have that folder in your hands, you know "you HAVE arrived!"

:goodvibes

If Hubby and I are alone we always start with EPCOT, if it is a family trip with the kids, we always start at Magic Kingdom!

I like how the airport monorail was mentioned. That is always such a fun feeling for me at the beginning of the week. At the end, it's more sad though.

We always start and end in Epcot. I like MK alot, but MK is all about rides to me. Epcot is so much more then just rides. It's definitely my happy place.

Is there any other park than Magic Kingdom? Seeing the castle on my first day of vacation brings a tear to my eye!!!

Our tradition has become DHS and straight to Tower of Terror...so I assume we'll do the same when we go in December!

Our last day is always our major hopping day. We hit 2-3 parks and do everything we want to do again or missed. Somehow we always end at Epcot and Test Track is our last ride.

I am so excited just thinking about it!!

Of course, I always get a tear in my eye when the ME bus pulls away from the airport. I really feel "home."

When people think about WDW they usually think of the Magic Kingdom but that's what they THINK of. I wanna know what really begins your Disney vacation...is it the Castle, the smell of the sweets on Main Street, seeing the lobby of your resort, or perhaps getting an autograph from the mouse himself...whatever it may be let me and everyone else know!

What really starts my Disney vacation is when I walk up to the automatic doors of the Polynesian and smell all the lush plants and hear the soothing waterfalls. Aloha!:lovestruc

We head to EC first and ride Figment. We usually arrive at WDW late morning on a Saturday and then after checking in at our resort and having some lunch we head off to EC, usually by foot and we ride Figment!!!!

Magic Kingdom is always our first park! The ride changes. Each trip, a different family member gets to pick the first ride. This past trip was a mother-daughter trip so my mom let me pick the ride. I picked Haunted Mansion, since it's my favorite!

Entering the Magic Kingdom (we always go there on the day after arrival day cuz that's our first full day) and walking up Main Street and seeing the castle. Driving through the big Walt Disney World sign/arch is great too! :thumbsup2

It is wher I feel Walt's touch the most. :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes Danny

When I step out of the towncar and into the lobby of the Polynesian, inhale that wonderful smell and hear my first "Aloha!" I know that I'm home, and that my vacation has officially begun.

As far as which park is concerned, it's definitely the Magic Kingdom.

It all depends on what ride or rides people in my party want to ride the most, then we pick what park to go to from there. It all depends on what one will satisfy everyones ride desires most. Last time it was Hollywood Studios first as everyone wanted to do Rockin Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror most.

I never start with a park...remainder of arrival day (and I try to arrive by noon)...I spend at Downtown Disney...it really puts me in the mood and I can't image starting my Disney vacation any other way...it would be like showing up to the movie theater right on time for the movie and skipping the refreshement stand and previews!

DHS, our first day in, we unpack, relax, eat a nice lunch & then head to DHS for the Osbourne Christmas lights & the Fantasmic show, it really gets our vacation off to a GREAT start !!!!!! :santa::santa::santa:

My favorite is when we are on the Disney bus and passing under the Disney World arches on the highway, if anyone knows what I mean. Then I feel like I'm there!

Magic Kingdom is our first park too! Is it bad that I sometimes cry when we walk under the train station and get that first glimpse of Main Street?

Magic Kingdom...always. Unfortunately, we always end up doing Downtown Disney on our very first day because we sleep in & want to unwind from the drive.

No, it's not bad to be emotional while walking into MK, I do it too...my dh always teases me about it. :cutie:

It depends...if we just want to chill out after our traveling when we get there, we'll head to DTD. If we want to go to a park and check things out, we usually hit AK up first. Alot of the times, we save MK for last..because it's the best!:cool1:
