When people think about WDW they usually think of the Magic Kingdom but that's what they THINK of. I wanna know what really begins your Disney vacation...is it the Castle, the smell of the sweets on Main Street, seeing the lobby of your resort, or perhaps getting an autograph from the mouse himself...whatever it may be let me and everyone else know!

What really starts my Disney vacation is when I walk up to the automatic doors of the Polynesian and smell all the lush plants and hear the soothing waterfalls. Aloha!:lovestruc

I like to start (and end) my trip with the MK. Just walking down Main Street gets me so ecstatic, like I'm five years old or something. :lovestruc

We're 3-for-3 on Animal Kingdom opening our Disney vacation.

I'm kind of a traditionalist and it's the first park we visited on our Disneymoon, so I've made it our first park the last two times.

Maybe in the future we may change it to MK, but I'm of the belief that you ease into the magic of Disney. I don't like jumping straight into MK. I like to let the eagerness build to a crescendo.

I must start and end my trip with MK. I love walking onto Main Street the first day, smelling the bakery, hearing the music, seeing the stage show....I know I am there. And the last sight I see in a park is always late at night, looking at the lit castle and main street, maybe hearing Wishes....and crying.

I feel like my vacation has really started on the Magical Express Bus when they start playing the video! Silly, I know...but I can't help it ;)

We always get there late in the day so we always start in EPCOT. We do 1/3 of EPCOT that evening and then take another day to complete the rest. That leaves us one day apiece for the other parks. If we park hop, we manage to get back to MK twice to do the Main Street walk and a few favorites again. I agree with PP who says they like to ease into WDW. EPCOT gives us a nice "Welcome to the World" feel, we eat well and then feel prepared to take on Disney.

We either start at AK or Epcot to sorta ease into the magic and make it last.

Actually just driving into Orlando starts mine. It might be because I'm so tired of driving by then and the trip is officially over with!

If you mean Disney only, we usually started out at Downtown Disney the first evening.

The magic starts for us when we drive under the WDW gate w/ the characters. We all get giddy.

We always end our trips w/ Spectro/Wishes (MSEP/Nightastic this year). The first park we go to depends on EMH schedules.

Our vacation starts on the tram at MCO. Once we are on that, we know the "Magic" is beginning. Our first and last park is also Magic Kingdom.º0º

Always start with Epcot. After a day of travelling, we need the laid back no rush atmosphere of World Showcase.

It used to be MK, but since we stay most often at BCv at has evolved to Epcot as our first park on our arrival day.MK is the first full day

Our first park has always worked out to be Epcot (no reason) but we always try to end with MK. We spend 2 days at each park with the exception of MK is usually 3 days.

we always start with AK we like to have dinner at Yak and Yeti...we always end at MK not becuase it's our favorite...but just becuase it usually is opened the latest...so we hang out there until it's closed

We always start at MK and POTC is always our first ride.
