I want to try out Flying Fish in Boardwalk once they open in August.

I have one morning free to myself so I thought I'll try Flying Fish since so many people rave about it.

Which park is the closest to the Boardwalk? I want to be at the park that's easiest for me to get to Boardwalk and after lunch to get back to the park.

I have feet problem so can't walk too much so is there easy way to get to the Boardwalk from the park using bus transportation?

Thank you

Walking, I would say Epcot is closest. There is a boat that will run from the Boardwalk to Epcot, and also to Hollywood Studios. It takes a while to get to HS, but it'll save a lot of walking.

So Epcot is closer than Hollywood Studios? I forgot where the boat is in Epcot. Where can I ride the boat and where in Boardwalk does it stop? Thank you

In the past Flying Fish did not open for lunch. Only for dinner, so I'm not sure lunch will be an option.

If we're talking august/sept, HS might have a wait for several boats before you fit or the longer 1+ mile walk from it. Epcot is a quick 5-10 minute walk from international gateway and the boat is there if you need or want to do that. It drops you off right next to flying fish.

I also don't remember it being a lunch spot so have a plan b that is going for 4pm or later (when disney starts dinner)

Yes, Epcot is physically closer for sure. You just walk to the end of the boardwalk, over the bridge and you'll be at the IG entrance. The boat will take you there too, the launch is basically in the middle of the boardwalk, but it does take it's sweet old time...or should I say sweat...it's hot in there on summer days.

ADRs for August suggest that they are still not going to be open for lunch.

Epcot IG entrance/exit is much closer to Boardwalk than HS entrance/exit. Boat dock for Epcot is just outside of IG on your left, maybe 100 yards. First stop from Epcot IG is the Boardwalk and the dock is adjacent to the Flying Fish, less than 100 feet from boat to front entrance. HS boat dock is a longer walk from HS entrance/exit and the boat stops at S/D and then YC/BC before heading to the Boardwalk. Walking from IG to Boardwalk is 5 - 10 minutes and HS to Boardwalk is 20 - 25 minutes.

Thank you everyone. Good to know it's not open for lunch. I guess I might have to juggle my ADRs around.

EDIT: I think I have found night I can go. Since we are going to be at Epcot, it's perfect that we can go to Flying Fish for late dinner. If we are staying at Pop, after dinner, what would be the best way to get back from Boardwalk to Pop?

Easiest would be to get a cab or uber from the front of the Boardwalk Inn lobby. If you want to take Disney transportation, take the boat heading to DHS and get a Pop bus from there.

Agree with the above, get a cab. It's so much easier to get a cab and quicker!

If I was to call for uber or cab, where do they meet us?

Cabs can come to the resort directly, and I've learned its easier just to have Bell Services do it. When I have called/use an app for Mears on my phone, there was confusion upon arrival. Bell Services does a fine job of whistling or getting a vehicle to you promptly (or arranged ahead at a set time).

Uber will vary-- I have had some not be able to pull up to the front of the resort, and others have. Not sure of any official policy here, but some Uber rides have not been allowed through the resort gate when I've tried.

The Epcot entrance is really close to Boardwalk.

Thanks to Robo for the map.

Ooh Ooh - I know this! Universal Studio's Islands of Adventure? :D

(Epcot - walking from the international gateway should take about 10-15 minutes)

Epcot. You can boat from either Epcot or Hollywood Studios, and bus from Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom.

I think everyone is forgetting that even though the entrance at International Gateway is closest..... the buses at Epcot are a very long haul from the International Gateway! And World Showcase doesn't open till 11a. Something else to consider..... taking the bus to Epcot... you'd have to go through security and enter the park, walk all the way back to the Gateway and then over to Boardwalk.
So.... if you are looking at the fact you'd be in Epcot/Future World for the morning... Studios might be the better choice, if you are planning just to go to Boardwalk, the buses at DHS are closer to the boat that would take you to Boardwalk,

Uber absolutely pulls up to the lobby of any Disney resort. I've used the service dozens upon dozens of times at Disney and have never had an issue with an Uber picking me up or dropping me off at any resort.

I appreciate that but this was my personal experience, so I wanted to caveat it.
