My husband and I will be going to Universal on Thursday, June 12 of this summer, and we'd like to hit the highlights of both Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure all in that one day. We're planning to get there before the parks open and have our tickets in advance. We're not staying onsite at Universal, and since the Express passes will be at their most expensive, this option really isn't in our budget. Which park is usually better for the afternoon/evening? Is there a difference, or will the waits be basically the same at each park? We plan on doing all of the main thrill rides.

I would suggest going to IOA first, since Hulk and Spiderman get long lines throughout the day, and if it is raining while your at IOA Spiderman is where most everybody goes to.

Universal will have long lines at some attraction, mainly Mummy and MIB. We always try and time MIB at the time when fear factor has a show going on, but when the show lets out, everybody goes to MIB it seems like.

hope this helps you a little bit:thumbsup2

If you don't like the heat, go to the Studios in the afternoon.... the Studios have mainly 'indoor' queue's and attractions....whereas IOA has more 'outdoor' things.... And like cbdmhgp said, if you get caught in the rain at IOA, there aren't many 'indoor' places to hide...and EVERYONE goes to Cat in the Hat or Spiderman :headache:
