Which park for second day?

My husband and I are traveling to Orlando for the first time, we have a 4-year-old, an 8-month-old and his parents with us. We're planning on spending one day at Magic Kingdom. For the second day should we visit Animal Kingdom, Seaworld, Legoland, or Islands of Adventure?

FTR my in-laws are not that into rides, mil has had knee surgery and fil is terrified of heights. It's their first time visiting the US though and we want to make it special.Also his parents are vegetarians. For Legoland we can get all 5 tickets for $313 so that's another factor we're considering.

At this point we can't decide what to do so I was hoping you guys could give us some advice. I plan to book everything tonight.

I recommend Animal Kingdom, but I admit that I am just a bit biased .There are several great shows at Animal Kingdom, for people not in to rides. The Safari is also excellent.

Skip Islands of Adventure. It's mostly thrill rides. I would recommend Animal Kingdom or a second day at Magic Kingdom.

I've googled it tons of times. I posted here mostly as a tie-breaker, we'll finalize one program and then either my husband or his dad will change their mind. Today is the day I'm booking.

I'd also recommend Animal Kingdom out of those four choices. It's a beautiful park and has a lot to do for those who are not into rides. Plus, you can just buy a 2-day Disney ticket and use one day for MK and one day for AK.

I would also recommend Animal Kingdom - the safari, the shows, animal trails, etc. are so nice for younger children. You could even do Wilderness Explorers with your 4 year old. Otherwise, perhaps a second day at MK.

I would not take a 4-year old to IOA. There is virtually nothing for them to do there. And Legoland is a bit of a drive.

I also recommend AK. We have taken our now 10 year old son to the parks since he was toddler, and he has always loved the AK. My wife and I really like it too.

From your choices I would go with Animal Kingdom.

From this statement, I would go off the board and suggest Hollywood Studios. People who are not into rides are often into shows. We spent a very full day at HS, mostly watching the excellent shows they have. HS gets the short thrift here from people who do not care for shows and those that have seen these shows so many times they really don't want to see them again. These people are new to the US, so they obviously haven't seen these excellent shows before.

I would probably opt for AK as well. Just the zoo/safari stuff is a big attraction if you don't like rides. Islands of Adventure is thrill rides, so I'd skip it. Legoland is fun, but your son probably isn't really in to legos yet. The rides are the right size, but I'd probably wait a couple of years for that park. Hollywood Studios is an option too. I too was thinking about the shows there. But I think I'd still pick AK over all of them.

If you don’t want to drive far I would pick animal kingdom or Epcot. If your willing to drive a little farther I would consider Kennedy Space Center.

Epcot- I know that it is not on your list but there is a lot to see and do for little ones. The jumping water fountain...my kids could trying catching it for hours. There are a lot of easy rideslike space ship earth, soarin, the land. nemo and friends, turtle talk with crush, mexico ride.

Another vote for AK ... I'm not that much of a ride person and I love the park! The shows are top quality and the safari is a lot of fun. It is additionally a beautiful park to walk around and enjoy!

I think the answers here are going to be biased to a Disney park. That being said I would pick a Disney park.

Isle of Adventure seems like a bad choice for people who don't like thrill rides.

Legoland is a decent drive from Disney.


I would probably do Epcot or AK.
