Which park for fast passes?

We are going in June for 2 days with hopper tickets. We didn't hop last time we were at Disney. I’m trying to decide where to book fast passes.

Day 1 (Sunday): Epcot at rope drop and then AK. We currently have 8am reservations at Garden Grill. Not sure we want to keep them or if they will help for sure. We are staying at the Dolphin, so rope drop is from the WS side. I had thought of FP for Epcot and then at AK hopefully lines aren’t terribly long for some rides. We’d do FOP at closing time.

Day 2 (Tuesday): AK and then HS. I had thought FP at AK, including FOP. We could rope drop for Navi this morning and then hope for still short lines on other rides.

I thought I was good and then started reading that lots of people do the FP at the 2nd park instead. Should we do that? We could rope drop FOP and then Navi.

Thanks for any help.

I wouldn't do your FPs for AK on both days, so whichever you choose for day 1 will decide day 2, IMO. On day 1 I think I would do AK FPs, and then do them for HS on day 2. Really, there just isn't that much in Epcot that we find worthy of making FPs in advance, due to the tiering, so we don't bother doing our FPs there when they could be better spent elsewhere.

It really depends on what attractions/rides you want to ride and your threshold for lines. I wouldn't get FP at EP, I don't feel they are worthy of using them, when you have better options at AK, HS. I assuming your skipping MK then. If you want FOP without FP then you'll need to do RD. Then get FP at the second park.

So, it really depends..... if you get FP at the first park and use them early in the morning, you can then get FP later at the second park (if available).

If you only have two days, then you will need to do RD each day of course. List all your must do's and then prioritize them then determine your order, you can get a lot done in the AM without FP's, better if EMH.

Look at historical wait times, you may be able to get on RnRC, TOT with stand by lines at decent waits. To be honest, not much to do at HS.

The other things is it depends on your participants, kids or not etc...

Other thing is, I wouldn't spend time eating at such a valuable time in the AM, lines for rides just get longer while you eat. However, it is nice to be in a park in the AM before everyone, usually better at MK though.....

It's a leap to assume that you'll be able to get FPs for FOP. You might, but might not. Just keep that fact in mind when planning.

The kids are 9, 12, 14. They are pretty good at up and early for things when it's a priority and they understand how important mornings are on vacations.

Our Day 1 is day 60+2 and Day 2 is 60+4. I'm hopeful we could get at least one day for FOP FP. If we don't, we'll do it once at the end of the night and once at rope drop. I think I'll try for Day 2 first and then Day 1.

Good to know I can skip Epcot FP probably. I'm sure they'd like to do Test Track a couple times, if we can. But single rider is fine. Mission Space, Spaceship Earth, and Soarin' are what the other things they are interested in. At HS, they mostly just want RnR and ToT.

We are skipping MK.

Ya, I would not get fast passes for Epcot if you are park hopping. You can only chose from one of Soarin', Test Track, and Frozen which means you would really only get one extremely valuable fast pass and be using the other 2 on attractions that wouldn't really have that long of lines anyway, so it's really just not as beneficial as it is at the other parks.

I would do Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios.

Hollywood Studios you could either do Toystory Mania, Tower of Terror and Star Tours for your fast passes and then just get in single rider for Rock n' Roller Coaster (which would probably be the most time efficient way to book your fast passes), or if your kids don't care about toystory mania then just do Rock n' Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror and Star Tours and go for the thrills..
