I booked my sister and her husband on a trip to Disneyland mid-May. They'll be arriving in L.A. at 11am. They'll be spending one day in each park during the week and then a day at Sea World and a day on a Hollywood tour. Which park would you recommend they go to on their arrival day? It will most likely only be for a few hours but I'm not sure which one to recommend. They're both over 50 and not really big into Mickey or characters...

My own preference would be for Disneyland, but maybe it would be better spent checking out DCA and getting a feel for how they need to plan their day there?

Which ever they choose, they really can't go wrong!!!

IMHO I would go to Disneyland, it may be more nostalgic for them. But like Chesirecatty said, which ever you choose, you really cant go wrong." :)

HTH,

Disneyland for sure. I think every trip should start with a stroll down Main Street. It's classic Disney and I don't believe you'd get the same feeling on the DCA side.

I couldn't agree more. There is something so magical about heading down mainstreet and seeing the castle on your first day. It really sets the tone for the trip and makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside:)
