Which park for afternoon arrival?

We fly in 12:45 and staying at BRV. We will have 1 partial day and 4 full days.
Trying to figure out the best way to maximize our stay. As a starting point, which park should we consider for our arrival day?

BRV? Do you mean Boardwalk? If so, I would just go to Epcot.

It's a matter of preference, of course, but if you are traveling with children it's hard to argue against going to Magic Kingdom first. Since you have four full days, I'm assuming you plan to spend a day at each park, but MK is probably more worthy of a 2nd day than the others.

Another vote for MK. One day at MK is really not enough to see and do everything. AK and DHS are one day parks for us. Epcot could also be a good choice, but with a 17 year old, the rides at MK will probably be more appealing.

Assuming you will have chosen FP 60 days out, I really don't think it matters which park. I would pick the one that is open latest.

I rarely stay at one park for a full day. Will you have hoppers? Doing any special events during your stay?

I agree with georgina, pick the park that is open the latest or has night time EMH's. If the parks are all closing @ the same time I'd go with MK or EPCOT.

None. I would settle into the resort, swim in the pool, have a relaxing dinner, and go to bed early in order to wake up feeling fresh and energized for rope drop at MK.

If you feel well enough to go straight to the parks after a day of travel, I would pick my kids' favorite park. Ours is Magic Kingdom.

Personally, I am just too exhausted from travelling to hit the parks on arrival day. We tend to relax and rest up for the next day either napping or lounging by the pool. We like to get up early the following day and try to beat the crowds. The parks will be crowded in the afternoon when you arrive. If you don't mind that then I guess it doesn't matter.

I agree with the majority, the Magic Kingdom. My wife and I travel down every year and we usually arrive around 1 PM. We immediately head over to the Magic Kingdom because to us, that is Disney. The other parks are wonderful but the Magic Kingdom is our tradition to starting our vacation every year. Not only is it the first park we visit, we end our vacation stay with a visit to Magic Kingdom as well. Gives us a chance to say goodbye to Walts dream and to thank him for that dream. We are usually in tears at that point. I'm never ashamed of those tears. We are in our 60's and we savor every moment at Walt Disney World.

Location wise MK would be easiest due to proximity and accessibility from BRV, with that said, also check park hours for that day to see which park has the latest closing time and/or Evening EMH, the park with the latest closest time would also be a good option and you could get almost a full park day if you stay till close.

Normally I agree with the crowd that going to MK makes sense. Just check when it is closing that night. They close at 6 on my arrival day, so I'm thinking of doing Epcot this year.

This time, we are doing AK on our arrival day. We should be entering the park around 11:30. I'm driving in from the Panhandle, the trip is under 6 hours.

Another vote for MK. We are in the same boat, 4 full days plus our arrival day. Doing MK first and last day. We love all the parks but there are so many more rides at MK.

I'm in this camp too. It's a partial day so go with the park that's open the latest! But, I'm rooting for Epcot because that's where I'm moving to when I retire .
