Which park for a solo evening visit

After a day at the Magic Kingdom with kid and grandmother, I'm dropping them off at the Marriott Harbour Lake around 6 and planning to return to a park for a few hours. Which one should I check out? There's also a slight possibility that they will head out and I will stay behind and get an uber home at the end of the night, but otherwise I will have to park again wherever I go.

I agree. Love Epcot, lots of places to wander and see alone, and I love the atmosphere in the showcases at night.

Head to Hollywood Studios, get a table at the Brown Derby outside bar area, have a drink or two and some appies. Then see the Star Wars fireworks.

EPCOT would be my first choice, but that idea for fireworks at DHS has a strong appeal. Tower of Terror at night sure is fun. EPCOT is a great night time place to hand as an adult, so still gets the nod from me.

I agree with WS at Epcot, I've taken a number of solo trips and that is usually where I end up at night.

I don't know how often you get to go to WDW? But you may just want to return to MK ,it has a different look at night..

I don't think you could go wrong with any park, but on my last solo trip I spent a wonderful evening at DHS.

EPCOT hands down! This is by far the most adult-friendly park.. I always enjoy going on a leisurely evening stroll around WC, taking in the sights and sounds, enjoying a few tasty alcoholic beverages at the various bars and lounges, and ending the night with Illuminations :)

Every park just "feels" different at night...so I think you would have fun at any park!

In order I would choose Epcot, MK then HS.

Epcot: I think it would be great to browse WS at my leisure. Find a great spot to watch Illuminations...maybe an outdoor table at Mexico with a yummy plate of nachos and margarita!

MK: Browse Main Street USA at my leisure. Take a train ride with the 7 Dwarfs and take a whirl on Big Thunder Mountain! I would also ride Haunted Mansion (a childhood favorite). Find a spot to watch the fireworks and light parade while enjoying a LaFou's Brew.

HS: Take in a Beauty and the Beast show. Enjoy a ride on Tower of Terror. Stake out a spot to watch Fantasmic!

Have a magical time!

Another vote for Epcot for WS. A couple adult beverages and snacks while wandering around the WS then find a comfy spot to catch Illuminations (and to hang out for a few minutes as everyone rushes to leave the minute the show is over).

According to the Disney website, MK closes at midnight and HS and Epcot close at 9pm. Does that make a difference?

if you had to choose only 1 park, I would also vote for Epcot.
But..... with MK open late..... I'd hit Epcot for Illuminations then hop over to MK for sure!! We've done this many times! If you are lucky and can catch the monorail quickly enough you can see Wishes at 10p as you enter MK (if it's scheduled then). Then stay till park close!

I would go to MK myself. If they are open late, after wishes, you should be able to do what you want for a few hours and enjoy everything. If you like to drink, then go to Epcot.

I would do MK. When the park is open that late, it gets pretty quiet and you can walk on most rides. Plus, the parade and fireworks are awesome. Its also amazing to sit and watch the park empty out at the end of the night or wander around the shops on Main Street on your way out. There are few places more magical than Main Street all lit up at night. :cloud9:

If you are a Star Wars fan, make it Hollywood Studios! The new fireworks are awesome, and there is some fun to be had at the Launch Bay. (Meeting Chewie was a highlight of my trip last week.) I'm only moderately interested in Star Wars, but I had a blast as did the other 3 adults in my party. Also, Tower of Terror at night..!!

Depending on the time of the Star Wars fireworks, I agree with above poster(s) that you should hop over to Magic Kingdom after. I love, love, love MK at night.

If Star Wars fireworks hold no appeal, then definitely Epcot. And then hop to MK.

I think the WS at Epcot is a great spot at night for adults. There is enough to do at a leisurely pace. You can have a few adult beverages, listen to British revolution and watch illuminations. I find it relaxing.
