DL vet here going to the world for 2 days in April. (I realize it is not enough time to see much, but its what we can do this trip)
It's me and dd15. DD is not a fan of the big rides, I am. We plan to spend Tuesday all day at MK and I can't decide what to do Monday. We will arrive Monday am and are staying at Caribbean Beach for two nights.
So where would you spend the one day and why?

I think if you want a lot of Disney Hollywood Studios is small where you get it done in a small amount of time. But my choice would be Epcot the flower and garden is going on and more relaxing after a morning of travel.

I would spend the day at Epcot. Since your DD is not a fan of big rides, things like Living with the Land, the Mexico boat ride and soarin would probably be more her speed. Also, walking around the World Showcase and trying food from the different countries and browsing thru shops is so much fun!

Another vote for Epcot. Flower & Garden is wonderful and I can't spend enough time in World Showcase. (But then I also like Future World, too!)

Totally vote for Epcot! Lots of attractions she would be okay with and World Showcase and all it offers!

Hate to disagree with every other opinion, but for one day, I would chose Animal Kingdom.

I haven't been to DL, but from everything I read, I'd pick either Epcot or AK because they are the most different from what's in DL.

Personally, I'd pick AK because I love it and it can be done in one full day. I also love Epcot but need at least 2 days to do it justice.

AK has some of everything "Disney" to me: great shows (particularly Lion King and Flights of Wonder), rides (Expedition Everest is my favorite ride in all 4 parks, Safari is great), and theming and atmosphere. HOWEVER - some people definitely don't "get it" and don't love AK at all - compared to a ride-ride-ride park, it's definitely a different beast. Definitely look up descriptions and reviews to see if it appeals to YOU before deciding.

What types of things does your DD like? Shows? Meeting characters? Dining? I think that would be helpful to know because each of the parks has its own strong points IMO. If I only had two days, I'd probably head to Animal Kingdom for the non-MK day. I really like the Lion King and Flights of Wonder shows and the Safari is really great if your DD likes animals (as are all the paths you can walk and see more animals). If she isn't much of an animal person, I'd head to Epcot. World Showcase is great and the rides there aren't really "thrill" rides. Illuminations is also great and it would be during flower & garden festival. Hollywood Studios is great because of the rides that are there, but there is less to do there outside of the rides (though Fantasmic is a great night time show!).
