Doing a short 2 day trip for my 2 year old's first time! We will be bringing grandma and grandpa (they're not big Disney fans). Obviously we are doing Magic Kingdom. What would you second park be and why?

Epcot. There are so many things to do with little ones. Many of the rides have no height requirement (Spaceship Earth, Nemo, Living With the Land, Figment, Remy's, Frozen, Three Caballeros) and there is also the Moana water area and a little playground behind Creations Shop. It's my kids' favorite park. Plus the food is great.

Animal Kingdom. It's just more chill than the other parks. Also, the animals provide lots of entertainment without having to wait in lines.

I second Epcot
Lots of character meets, lots of things to see, lots of low height requirement rides (frozen, Remy, three caballeros, figment, Nemo, spaceship earth, living with the land…)
and my DD loved the aquarium and the play areas after the rides when she was that age!

Another Epcot vote! The Moana water attraction is incredible, and my littles loved exploring and splashing around in the water. The Seas pavilion is also a huge hit with my kids. As others have mentioned, there are many rides with no height requirement and lots of places for younger kids to explore. There's also a very cute little playground where kids can let off some steam right near the Creations shop/Test Track.

Follow up question, how much does he like animals and how tall is your 2 year old? When I took my son a few years ago, he was 2 but just over 40 inches which introduced a lot of rides for him.

Does he have any characters he’d love to see from Disney Junior or movies ?

Our 3 year old loves animals so AK would be our choice for a second park. The Nemo, Lion King and bird shows will have her in heaven. Top that off with the visual wonder of Na'vi and the uniqueness of the safari plus the animal trails and train ride to Rafi Planet Watch.

But that's our little one. Yours might enjoy Epcot more. Turtle Talk, Finding Nemo ride, the aquarium, the Grand Fiesta, Moana water attraction and just taking in some of the musical acts.

I agree, Epcot. Does anyone know if they still have the kidcot stations? My grandkids loved those. At the time, they used sharpie pens, I brought along crayons.

Yes, they still do Kidcot. I was there today and saw a cast member at the station at the American Adventure pavilion.

We went with my son just before his 1st birthday and again when he was 1.5 and did a day of MK and a day of Epcot each time. Most of the reasons for Epcot are mentioned above, but also the scavenger hunts can be fun for that age, though they may need help putting the stickers in the right place (not that it matters, you get the prize either way). Epcot can be fun for us even on a crowded day. My kids can sometimes get overwhelmed at MK.

A 2 year old will be happy anywhere (and since they're free I don't take their preferences into account) I would actually see what the non Disney grandparents would rather do. MK can be VERY overstimulating.

We had a one day pre-cruise trip at Epcot and it was perfect for us but we're Epcot people.

I agree with Epcot, not just for the child but for the grandparents who aren’t big Disney fans. Epcot has enough to keep the child entertained while also feeling less Disneyfied for the adults who want a more mainstream experience.

Another vote for Epcot. Without a doubt. When we went this summer, every time we turned a corner there were character meets. The rides appeal to kids that age. There are areas in each country to wander and move at a slower pace, The new playground area… the list goes on and on.
