Which park do you think has better overall food?

During our two trips last year, I found myself feeling like there was a lack of middle-of-the-road options in California Adventure. Everything seems to be either full fancy table service (Napa Rose, etc.) or quick counter service (the places on the wharf). I wish there was something more akin to Café Orleans or even the fried-chicken dinner at the Plaza Inn.

So for me personally, I feel like Disneyland has better food than California Adventure.

Definitely DL. We have several 'favorites' there, but not in CA. We used to get the ribs at Taste Pilot's Grill, but those are no longer available. Flo's served good food at first, but has gotten poor reviews recently. My family and I are preparing to go to DTD to eat, rather than settle for the food in CA.

I was disappointed to see that Flo's cut back its entrée offerings and no longer lets you just pick two sides. I don't know if we'll bother this time. ITA on Downtown Disney, though. Tortilla Jo's and Earl of Sandwich alone make it a fabulous option!

Well NR isn't IN DCA. But Carthay is. Yes, there aren't a lot of regular table service options there. I think maybe the pizza and mexican place?

There are more options for food in DL. It also is a bigger park, so that makes sense. But I think that Carthay beats any DL restaurant as far as quality of food. So it's hard to say which has "better" food. DL = more options but nothing that will blow your taste buds out of the water. DCA = one good gourmet option that DL does not have an equivalent to.

For my family, we general prefer the food at DL to the options at DCA. At DCA, we like Carthay Circle Restaurant and the Lounge for TS and Flo's and Starbucks for CS. Over at DL, it seems like there are many more options that we like (e.g., Blue Bayou, Cafe Orleans, Big Thunder BBQ, and Carnations for TS; Plaza, French Market, and Redd Rockett's for CS).

I guess I'm the outlier, but I prefer the food at DCA to DLR. Part of that may be because I'm mostly vegetarian. At DL, I go places for specific dishes, like the fried green tomato sandwich at Hungry Bear, or the Three-Cheese Monte Cristo at Café Orleans. At DCA, I feel like I can go just about anywhere and find something I'll eat.

DL hands down for our crew. We find the food in DCA to be rather dull compared to the history with Carnation Cafe, the ambiance & food choices in Cafe Orleans & French Market, the uniqueness of the whole experience at Big Thunder, etc. -alright Pizza Port is dull, but still. I liked that they offered ribs at Taste Pilot Grill. Used to like Flos, not anymore! The lounge at Carthay is magical, we love it more than anything else in DL. We haven't tried Carthay due to some serious levels of mixed reviews. We got sick at WCT (we think but it's a day at a theme park so who knows for sure, but can't bring ourselves to go back).

While thinking retrospectively about DCA food, it doesn't sound as lousy as I remember, there is fast Asian cuisine (ohh- what if they had a table service Chinese restaurant that they DIDN'T do "on the cheap"- that would be yummy & different... well in my Disneyland dreams lol) Boudin bread bowls at the Warf, and more but while there we were seriously disappointed both visits (except for the lounge!). We found the food quality to be poorer than quality at DL & the choices were like we were at home- but we live in CA so LOL maybe the food choices are spot on for DCA theming. Gee, great question OP!

Overall I think DL has way better options. But I will say DCA has Lucky Fortune Cookery which is probably my favorite or 2nd favorite meal in the parks. Its a close tie with the fried chicken at Plaza Inn IMO.
