On your first day, which park do you go to first? DCA or DL? or both? I'm leaning towards DL the first day but they are only open until 8 p.m. the first day. That might screw up my touring plan. Hmmmm....

What park do you like better?

we do disneyland first, and then after the third day we do Disneyland and DCA on the weekend we do DCA for a full day. then both again for that sunday. monday Disneyland the full day.

We also do DL first. When we go, it opens earlier than DCA and you can get in some good uncrowded ride time first thing in the morning. DCA tends to be less crowded than DL in the afternoon so we go over there around lunch time. At that point we might hop back and forth between the two a few times always getting a FP before we leave each park.

Disneyland. :cool1: We havnt yet started the day at DCA. :scared1:
too much to do at DL in the morning, only after we have seriously hit everything do we go over to DCA and we are full of it in one day.

Usually we land around 2pm so we do DCA first, and the next 3 days we do DL

We do about the same. Since the crowds seem to be building we may have to change our approach but on a not MM day we are off to adventureland then splash and so on.

We start in DL with lunch. We usually arrive right around noon. We generally hit DCA the next day and never spend a whole day there. We may park hop over the next couple of days but really spend most of our time in DL.

I have always begun with Disneyland. I do not normally visit DCA, as a result have been there just once so far, even though I always had, but on one occasion, a park hopper ticket. I simply enjoy Disneyland the most. DCA is nice, and I might spend a bit more time from what I had in the past visiting it, in the future. However, I highly doubt that I will ever spend as much time there as I have at Disneyland.

Ditto. We can get a lot done in the first few opening hours at DL (my preferred park) before going to DCA. We usually collect a(n) FP if they're available before riding so that we have it for our evening adventures. Also, I highly recommend reading HG's tips in the stickies. His FP collection order has never failed me yet.

Have fun!

It's funny, I've never been to DCA before but I've been to DL twice. DL appeals to me much more and I have planned that we only spend one day at DCA. So, after reading all of your responses I think I'll stick with our plan.

Thanks for all your responses.

We will be arriving late afternoon on Sunday (Columbus day weekend), so will probably head over to DCA and ride soarin' before a dinner at Ariel's Grotto. Then we will spend the rest of the evening at Disneyland. Hopefully they will be open later till 11. We never spend the whole day at DCA, as DL is where we prefer to be.

We've done DCA first a time or two, but not much, we usually hit DL first and then hop back and forth. During our whole trip we go back and forth, I don't understand those who say they've been to DCA, that just boggles my mind. Our family enjoys DCA very very very much, I can't imagine going to DL only, I'd miss a lot of my favorite rides.

But yes, we generally start at DL and then hop over to DCA later in the day.
