Putting the final touches on my itinerary for our December trip and I think we can only SQUEEZE in 2 or 3 resorts (most likely only 2) to check out Christmas decorations...

Which 2 or 3 resorts would you choose to visit to see their decorations...? I'm even thingking of cutting days short at the parks to visit more but DH would not go for it.

Which ones are a NOT to Be MISSED and why? Is there a better time of day to visit certain resorts?

Thanks

In Dec. 2001, we stayed at ASMo and went to visit a few resorts to see the holiday decorations and we liked the GF best. Granted, we didn't see them all, just the Poly, GF, YC, and BWI, but out of those we loved the huge Christmas tree and Gingerbread House at the GF. It was definitely worth the trip there to see it. We liked the atmosphere so much that last year we stayed there for the 2nd half of our NYE trip. I've also heard Wilderness Lodge is great around the holidays, but we didn't make it there until a February trip.

My two favorites for holiday decorations are the Grand Floridian and Wilderness Lodge. Last year in December we took a day and saw most of the resorts. In my opinion, GF cannot be missed. We chose WL for our Christmas trip this year because of how beautifully it is decorated.

One more to agree that GF Christmas is the best - one tip tho, even though the large ginergbread house is entirely eatable, don't try and sample it for health sake - think of the thousands of people who have touched it.

My 2nd choice for Christmas decorations would be Yacht Club - they have assorted animals and a train set up that runds around the lobby. Plus, Santa came in every day to tell bedtime stories. I think the stories were supposed to be for kids, but the nights I was there, the adults outnumbered the kids 4 to 1.

Merry Christmas/Feliz Navidad/Frohliche Weinachten etc to you and your family! ENJOY YOURSELVES!

GF is very lovely and has the "Victorian Christmas" look. The tree is unusual and stunning. WL is our favorite resort and is especially beautiful when decorated. The lobby is impressive anyway, but the decorations and a fire burning in the huge fireplace (with huge rocking chairs to relax in) seems to bring out the best in WL.
We also enjoyed Yacht and Beach and Boardwalk.

Another vote for GF. The huge victorian tree and gingerbread house are great.
Since your time is limited, I would choose to go to the monorail resorts and the Epcot resorts. That way it's possible to see several within close proximity.
We generally stay at the BWV, and the decorations are very colorful there.
We also liked the Y&B decorations.

WL, GF & AKL are my 3 top favorites at Christmas. Maybe you could talk DH into seeing all of the ones on the monrail line since it is so easy to get to them and then 1 or 2 others. Have fun. It is so beautiful at Christmas.

1. Wilderness Lodge
2. Grand Floridian
3. Beach Club
4. Yacht Club
5. Boardwalk

All others if you can. They are great to visit.
