Dh and I are trying to decide between MNSSHP or The Very Merry Christmas Party, I kinda would like to do both but he says just one. Which one would you choose?

I haven't been to either but I would choose MVMCP for the following reasons. Firstly, December crowds seem to be quieter than October crowds, especially if you go early December. In October, MNSSHP coincides with the Food and Wine so this bumps up the people. I also think it would be lovely to see all of WDW decorated for the holidays, take in the Candlelight Processional, the Osborne Lights; ther's just more to do in December and its prettier.

As for comparing the detail of the parties, well I'll leave that to a more experienced DISer. have fun choosing,
Claire xx

I agree with Claire as far as December being a better time to go. Christmas extends all over the resort with decorations and other shows while Halloween is mostly only during the party hours. There were some pumpkins in the Main St. windows and autumn/pumpkin displays here and there. We were just there a week ago and it was much more crowded than Labor Day was even.

It also depends on what you enjoy more. I love Christmas at Disney for the warm fuzzy feeling but Halloween was truly a PARTY...with awesome music and dancing and fun.

The resorts are decorated better and there are more extra special things going on around the property during Chirstmas, but as far as the actual party goes, I vote for MNSSHP.
