What would you chose?

I have the Marriott World Center Hotel and Disney's Port Orleans Riverside booked for Memorial Weekend. We will have a car and we tend to drive to parks (lugging a double stroller on the buses just isn't fun). Port Orleans comes out to about $20 cheaper once you factor in the Marriott's resort and parking fees. We are looking for a good pool especially with toddler friendly features (splash pad area which we know POFQ has and we could use). Any other suggestions are welcome.

Port Orleans 2 night total: $433
Marriott 2 night total with resort fees and parking: $450ish

Make sure you factor in the cost to park at the theme parks (assuming you aren't an Annual Passholder). That's an extra $20/day.

Personally, I hate exterior entry guest rooms...no matter how nice the surrounding grounds. Here, I'd choose the Marriott in a heartbeat. Also, if you book direct with Marriott, you can earn frequent guest points through the Marriott Rewards program.

Caveat: For a stay months from now, I'd only book a cancelable/changeable reservation. Then, I'd periodically check to see if prices fall.

I'd do POFQ. Great kids pool, immersed in Disney from the get go.

For such a short trip over a busy weekend, I would choose PO. I tend to do offsite when we are doing other theme parks besides Disney, or for longer trips where we need more space. For purely Disney trips, I like to immerse myself in the Disney bubble.

For a weekend getaway, I would just stay at POR, especially with a car. POR pool is very nice. I do not think they have a toddler splash pad area though. I would even consider AoA. Yes, the room is a little smaller, but the pool would be much more kid friendly.
