Due to my unexpected layoff from work last week, I have to make some difficult dining choices. Which would be better for DS-7, DD-6, and DD-2--Chef Mickey's or Cinderella's Gala Feast? I already have PS for both but will have to cancel one of them. Please help!! Thanks. :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

Sorry to hear of your layoff:( hopefully for you and your family it wont last to long.
I have only had breakfast at Chef Mickey's and have never eaten at Cinderella's. My question rather than an answer to yours is: How much would your 7 yr old son enjoy Cinderella and the other princess? or would all of the kids enjoy meeting Mickey and his friends at Chef Mickey's?

I guess also what hotel do you more want to stop and visit?

The contemporary or the Grand Floridian?

Personally - I would choose Chef Mickeys (one of my favorites) but for your situation I think your daughters would much rather enjoy Cinderella's.

We did both this past trip (August '02).

My DD (4) absolutely loved the princess breakfast - my DNephew (6) was just ok with it. He liked the 'castle' motif, but wasn't too interested in the characters (although he did make mention that he thought Aurora was 'really pretty'!).

Both children enjoyed Chef Mickey's breakfast. We went really early (I want to say 7:15 or 7:30 - hey, we were due to be the flag family at the WL at 8:45  ). The food was hot and the restaurant wasn't too crowded until we left.

After all that ;) I guess I would pick Chef Mickeys. The characters there appealed to both boys and girls.

Sorry to hear about your job situation. I was jobless last year and the only advice I can offer is to keep a positive attitude. Things happen for a reason and they will work out. My prayers to you.

The castle is a wonderful setting, but I don't enjoy the breakfast.

The atmosphere at Chef Mickey's is lively & upbeat and the food fresh and pretty good. Plus they have Krispy Kremes!

Thank you everyone for your thoughts. I have deceided to go to Chef Mickey's. I believe everyone will enjoy the characters that are there. Thanks Again!!:earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:
