Which one of the mod. resorts do you like best? Why? Difference between POR Riverside and POR French Quarter?

Already stayed at Corando Springs, so not looking to stay there again.

TIA for your opinions!

We've only stayed at the Coronado, but we have visited all of the moderates a number of times and walked the grounds, seen the inside of the rooms (although we've not seen the inside of the new rooms at POR or POFQ), seen the pools, eaten at the food courts, etc. If the Coronado were not available for us (this is our "home"), we would pick the POR-Riverside for the theme, the great food court, the fact that there are quiet pools which POFQ does not have. Yes, I know you can share pools between the two resorts, but I don't want to walk to another resort and back again for using the pool. We just like the overall theme better at POR-Riverside.

POR and POFQ are about a 5 minute walk from one another. There is a sidewalk that connects them adjacent to the river. POR and POFQ share a boat shuttle to DTD so you can also take a boat shuttle between the two, as there is a stop at each.
Aside from theming, the differences are...
POR is about twice the size of POFQ. POFQ is more compact with only one bus stop, no table service restaurant, a smaller pool and pool slide. POFQ is great for younger kids because everything is close to all rooms. POFQ has a lounge that features Jazz music by Eliott Dyson. All rooms (except king bed) have two queens @POFQ because all have been recently refurbed.
POR has more bus stops, both counter service and table service, a bigger main pool area with a faster pool slide, River Roost lounge with Yehaw Bob, carriage ride location, marina with boat rental, rooms that sleep 5 in Alligator Bayou (not all have been refurbed so some have two queen beds and some still have two doubles), rooms that sleep 4 in Magnolia Bend (mansion section)--when completed some of these will be the Royal Rooms (for an added cost).

Both are great! You can use the amenities at both, regardless of where you stay.

We've only stayed at POFQ so far but we love it - nice and small so we can walk anywhere in a few minutes, boat to Downtown, great food court. We don't swim when we're there, so I can't give you an opinion on the pool. Service has always been excellent from everyone when we're there.

We would have stayed there again on our upcoming trip but there was nothing available so we're at POR - I'm assuming we'll love it as well, although I'll miss the small size.

Thanks all! :)

I think we would try POFQ for size and bigger beds, haha.

Has anyone stayed at the Caribbean Beach? How is that compared to POFQ?

Staying at CBR in two weeks for the seventh time. I have not stayed at POFQ, but I can tell you we love CBR. It never feels crowded and all the space there helps that feeling.

The food court is decent and the main pool is pretty nice, has a nice slide, and is zero entry. There are two spas and each area has it's own quiet pool. Some people worry about the size of the resort, but each area has it's own bus stop, so getting to a bus is never a long walk. The buses have never been a problem for us there at all. If you choose a Preferred room category, the food court and main pool are only a short walk away.

It's a very beautiful, laid-back place to stay. :)

The Caribbean Beach is even bigger than the Coronado (CSR). And they do not have queen beds.
