The Fantasy in the sky fireworks at MK, Fantasmic at MGM or Illuminations at Epcot. If you only had the time to see one of them, which would you choose?

I'd choose Fantasy in the Sky at MK hands down! Just love seeing Tinkerbell fly out of the castle, makes me feel like I can be a kid forever:)

I would say Fantasy in the Sky. I love fireworks though. Fantasmic is more of a show with some fireworks at the end. It is very good, but I always find it such a trial to get a seat and there are too many water screen effects. I love the music in Illuminations but I still like the old version better. The projection on the globe goes on too long for me.

To me it would depend on if you have seen them before or not. If you have never seen them then I would suggest the MK. It is a classic and for the first time viewing those fireworks from Main Street over the castle, is unforgetable.

If you have seen them and just want an opinion on which to do, I would go to Illuminations. It is a story within a fireworks show and is really amazing and fun to see.

Fantasy in the Sky, simply because it was the first show I ever saw at WDW, and because I love MK.

I love Fantasmic!

But, if I could only see one...it would be Illuminations:D

If I could only see one it would probably be Illuminations but I do love Fantasmic as well. The MK fireworks are my least favorite. They are nice but I can live without them.

Having seen them all I would chose Fantasmic. I think it tis the best nighttime show at Disney. Have fun!!

Another for FITS - I love it, watching Tink fly and then the fireworks in the air by the castle - sooooo romantic.

All three are fantastic. I'd have a hard time proclaiming one "the best." Fantasy in the Sky is a tradition. Fantasmic is a show. Illuminations is an event.

But I'd choose Illuminations. Simply put, I love Epcot (that makes me biased), and seeing Illuminations is easiest, as it can be view through most of Epcot. These days, with Fantasy in the Sky showing in limited fashion, the crowds are huge, the excellent vantage points limited. And Fantasmic requires getting in the theatre.

But we find Illuminations a joy to view, and to find a viewing spot. Afterwards, we roam the park, listen to the music, and wait for the heards to thin out. For that reaons, it's aces in my book.

However, if you choose Fantasy in the Sky, avoid the heards also. I think the best time I've had in recent years was closing MK on a Saturday night. It's beautiful when it's thinned out, the lights are glowing, and the music is playing..

Hey! we just returned and I would pick Fantasmic hands down!!! It's an incredible show, it has fireworks, TONS of characters, these really cool water screens, stunts, magic and more. It's a fantastic show!

I like the MK Fireworks and all but if you don't cram yourself near the castle you really don't see tinkerbell and in the end they're just fireworks were as Fantasmic is a show.

I really liked Illuminations too but just not as much as Fantasmic because it down't have Mickey and friends-lol.

Have a great trip!!!!

I have seen all three an `d I would pick Fantasmic. I saw it for the first time last summer and just loved it. It has a great story line and some of the best displays I have seen.

However it could be very scary for a little child.

Without a doubt, if I could only do one, I'd do Fantasy in the Sky. There is such a magical, wonderful, warm feeling when you see those fireworks over the castle - and the castle changing colors is simply gorgeous! :D

I would choose IllumiNations. I can watch that over and over. It's my very favorite display :)

Another vote for Illuminations here. I could do that every single night of my trip. While I love to see Tink fly, Illuminations is just a better show.. Actually I liked what Pat_Elliott said, it's an EVENT! When I take my mom for 3 nights in October, I don't know if we'll see FITS or Fantasmic, but you can bet we'll see Illuminations. I have the cd and I've been listening to it at work and I can picture the whole show in my mind. I love it!

My first thought was Fantasmic but as I read everyones posts my answer changed to whatever that poster picked. So I guess I would have to say "Good thing I don't have to decide." All three are great!

Tough question . . . . but I'm an Illuminations fan, too.

I listen to the CD all the time, and there's just something about the music and the presentation . . . I can get goose bumps just sitting here thinking about it.
