Which one to buy? Vaporizer or Cool Mist Humidifier?

Not usre which one to buy! I have a very bad cold starting and it is one that is in both my head and chest! Hard to breath, so my cousin said that I should get a cool mist humidifer. She has one running for her DH who is sick. She said it is like being in the shower!

She got one at Wal Greens, their brand for around $30.00. OK so just what do a buy? A vaporizer or the humidifer?

Same here, except we only have one asthmatic boy and one infant.

We have the Cool Mist one for my asthmatic boys too - you have to be careful with hot steam, especially if you have little ones around - steam and cause extreme burns - I say stay cool.

WE have the Cool Mist one for my daughter who has asthma. She went through having pneumonia 4 times so far and she just turned 7. The doctor said only ise the cool mist humidifiers.

I'm in the minority here--I like warm mist. My ped said they are fine just don't let the room get too wet. I've never had a problem with that. When I'm sick, the warm mist works wonders (with the vicks liquid in the water)--the cool mist didn't do much for me. (i have both)
