I am wanting to make ADR for one of these places for a particular day and I cannot decide which one. We have never eating at either. Anyone care to weigh-in on which one is better?

We have been to the Plaza before and really enjoyed it....the mneu for LTT doesnt wow me

We have the same dilemma - can't decide between the two for lunch! The food at Plaza appeals to me more, but the dessert (specifically the ooey gooey toffee thing) at LTT sound delicious!

I know! The burgers at The Plaza call to me more but the tavern fried cheese at the LTT is just something I have to have. LOL

We liked the food at the Plaza better. Sometimes, the Main Street characters are in there (Mayor Weaver, etc.)

While we enjoyed lunch at the LTT two years ago (we've never done dinner), we absolutely LOVE the Plaza. Although just salads and sandwiches, the portions are huge and the shakes and the ice cream desserts are, well, :worship:

Here's pictures from our trip this past September (it is the last meal we have every trip):

We have only done the character dinner at LTT, which doesn't exist anymore.:headache: In all my readings on these boards, praise has been given to both lunch menus, and everyone seems to rave about the Plaza's ice cream desserts.popcorn:: The Plaza is definetly on my list of ADR's for our next trip.:)

One vote for LTT! Then again, I love Thanksgiving-type food...even in the summer :)

The Plaza to me seems to have more of the same burgers, sandwiches, etc that you can find at nearly every CS location. Again, just me.

Another vote for the Plaza just for the desserts. They do a good burger as well. And the sandwiches are also very good. Sometimes I can talk my DD into splitting a sandwich or burger to make sure we have room for a big dessert!

Haven't had lunch at the LTT but we weren't impressed with the dinner. The characters were nice but now that they are gone, I don't see us ever going back there for dinner.

We've never done the Plaza because I always had issues paying TS credits/prices for sandwiches. We've done LTT on each of our last 3 trips and enjoy it a lot - they more full, sit down meal options.

However, we are going to try the Plaza on our upcoming trip in September since so many people rave about it and since we're getting free dining - so since we aren't "paying for it" we'll try some new things. :)

Hmmm... I guess we are the odd one! We thought the Plaza was o.k., and didn't understand why the raves? Especially for the ice cream, we didn't think it was anything special, now for ice cream we love Beaches 'n Cream!

Don't get me wrong it wasn't bad or anything, just not what it is hyped up to be.

That ooey gooey toffee dessert at LTT is my favorite dessert anywhere at WDW. That paired with the entree salad that has apples, walnuts, and cheddar cheese-Mmmmmm!

We eat at LTT every time we go and we love it. We have never done the Plaza, but everyone always enjoys LTT. THe food there is delicious and everyone in our group enjoys it. I think this is one of the few TS (that is not a buffet) that everyone in our group can agree on. There is my 2 cents worth.

I think the Plaza's sandwiches are far better than what you'd find at a CS. We enjoy the atmosphere there and the yummy ice cream sundaes.

LTT was just okay.

But it really depends on what type of food you're looking for. The Plaza is old time soda shop and the LTT offer heartier fare.

Well, we decided on LTT and I was able to get an ADR for 11:45 for the day I wanted. Perfect.

I really wanted to tavern fried cheese but then saw that toffee thing and it sealed the deal for me!

I am sure we will try the Plaza on this trip too.

We ate at LTT last Friday and we will definetly be back. The fried cheese was excellent, my burger was as good as any I have ever had at a restaurant and my wife swears that the New England Pot Roast dinner she had was the best pot roast she has ever had in her 34 years of life.

Can't speak of the deserts cause we didn't have room for any. I think you will enjoy LTT.

Yes, it's sandwiches, but it's also a banana split for dessert. At the Plaza, I look at the meal as a 2 parter - the sandwich and the dessert are two halves of the whole! We really enjoyed our late lunch there - DH got the club sandwich and I got a reuben and they were both delicious! Our sundaes were awesome and with only a (granted large) sandwich, we had room for them!

It's also a nice, small location so it feels very relaxed. It's bright, cheery and just lovely! I highly recommend the Plaza :thumbsup2
