I'm considering changing our reservations from a value to moderate resort. Any opinions on either of these resorts?

Never stayed at PO, but have been to CBR twice. I really love it. It is a big resort, seems to be the most common complaint, but the preferred rooms make is easier or Aruba 51, Jamaica 45 are good choices for non-preferred.

OPR - where the food court, TS restaurant, gift shop and main pool are located is nice and well done. It is a short walk from the Aruba and Jamaica locations.

The main pool get pretty busy starting at mid-day, however all islands have quiet pools which I have found to always to be empty. Maybe just luck?

There are also hammocks on the beaches which are nice for a relaxing evening after the parks all day and there are children's playgrounds on the beach so the kids have something to do. You can also see the EPCOT fireworks from the beach.

Food is good at the food court and Shutters is great for dinner. Only complaint is that TS is only available for dinner. Gift shop has lots of great Disney selections plus a number of drink/snack options including beer/wine.

I have no complaints with the bus service. It is a large resort and there is wait or standing room only at park closing time, but that was the only real "problem" we had. If you stay at CBR look to where the bus stops are located, sometimes the island next to yours is the bus stop closer to your room.

Rooms are bigger than those of PO.

Can't think of anything else right now...hope this helps.

I think it depends on your style. I have stayed at both and CBR is very tropical and beach like. Great music and themes. I like the sandy "beach" area with the hammocks. While PO is more old style New Orleans. The theme depends which side you are on but both are nice. It is more quaint and quiet. Room sizes and set ups are basically the same. Personally I thought CBR was more fun but they are both very nice.

If you are going with a large group or with kids I think CBR would be better.:grouphug:

If you are just going with a significant other, or like quiet I would go with PO.

I'd vote for POFQ. It will be the first stop when coming back from the parks. It's a small resort, only 7 buildings. It also has it's own bus stop at MK in the evening.
