Which one of these 3 would you pick and why

biergarten, coral reef or la hacienda?

2 adults and a 3 and 5 yo. Which would you pick for a family dinner and why? Thanks!!

I'd pick coral reef. Food had been so-so, I've heard, but you can't beat the fish tanks. Your kids will love it. One of my favorite childhood memories, taking my kids next time. Went to la hacienda last trip and food was good but nothing special. Biergarten was loud and overwhelming to my little ones, and I didn't particularly love the food either.

I would think Coral Reef as well. I know there are a lot of bad reviews, but when my husband and I went last year, it was one of the best meals we had. We sat right in front of the tank and it was just amazing. For the ages of kids you have, I think the fish tank would be a huge hit.

Coral Reef - food can be hit or miss as others have said, but when my DD was that age, she loved the fish tank.

I'd probably also pick Coral Reef. For food I would have picked La Hacienda, but Coral Reef will be more visually stimulating for the kids.

Those were the ages of our children on their 1st trip and they loved Biergarten. They insist on it every trip and we have it booked again next month for their 7th trip!

I have only done Coral Reef but I would do Biergarten because we have never been.

Biergarten! The food is good. It is buffet style for that and you will be sit with another family but they do have a band that comes up once an hour to play and invites the kids up to dance.

Depends on the food you like. We only do Beirgarten if my FIL is along, the rest of the family can't stand it. Coral Reef would by our choice

Coral reef - fish!!!

I also have liked the food there in the past.

Took our 2.5 year old to la hacienda and while the food was great, the meal took forever. This of course is a situation where that would not necessarily happen to everyone or every time, but I had to leave with her while my husband waited on the check. The fish would have made it better.

We had a really good experience with the food when we went to Coral Reef. Definitely plan on taking our son there when he is a bit older.

Biergarten because its a buffet and the kids can move more. The kids can get up often to get food, less waiting to get your food and you can dance to the band.

Whichever has food your kids will eat! If they have something at each of those then I would pick Coral Reef just for the huge fish tank!

We like San Angel over Hacienda, especially when seated by the water.

I haven't been to Biergarten.

So I'll have to vote Coral Reef!

Last trip we did Coral Reef and La Hacienda -- my kids were 5 & 6 at the time. As I am planning this trip, they have requested two repeat meals -- one is the Coral Reef. We had a tank-side table, it was awesome. We also enjoyed the food. (The other restaurant is Sanaa at AKL -- same reason, they loved watching the animals).

We like San Angel over Hacienda, especially when seated by the water.

We loved San Angel! The food was great and you can't beat the atmosphere!

But if you decide to go to Mexico, I also would recommend San Angel over Hacienda.

With kids ... Coral Reef for the fish tanks! Biergarten is fun but my kids didn't particularly eat much of the food there. I think they actually ate mostly fruit. They also sit you with other people and sometimes this can be hit or miss.

We did San Angel (not La Hacienda) last trip and that was a nice spot too although I found it to be more "romantic" and something I probably would have enjoyed more if it was just me and DH
