:wave2: Hi, I'm new (which is about to become painfully evident. :p )

We're looking at staying at a value resort for 7 days in September. It looks like they are all available at our time. Our son is 3 and he's autistic. From that perspective, it seems like we would be better off to be in a quieter place, so Pop Century looks like the right choice? But will Movies be that much more "magical" for him?

Also, if we do Pop Century, is the 60's building the best place to stay as far as having access to everything? It seems like it is...?

And is it possible to have a view of fireworks or anything like that from any of these?

We've stayed at both, with Pop being the most recent. We enjoyed both, but liked ASMo better as far as themes go. That being said, if you choose ASMo, we've stayed in both the Toy Story building as well as Dalmations, both were close to the food court/bus stop building. At Pop, we stayed in the 60's section, which is preferred, and is directly behind the main building. If you would like to see some pics of both resorts before you book, you can go to www.allearsnet.com and click on accomodations. Hope this helps, and welcome to the DIS! :wave2:

If you're going to do the 60s bldg, ask for the room that is facing the lake, this way, it's quieter and not in the middle of action if you're facing the pool.

Either the ASMo or POP would be great for your child. If your child loves Disney movies, then your child can probably appreciate the icons better at the ASMo. Does he like Buzz/Woody? Fantasia? 101 Dalmations? Love Bug? Mighty Ducks? If so.. then Movies would be good.

If he likes The Jungle Book (Baloo/Mowgli) and Mr./Mrs. Potato Head and of course Mickey... then POP would be good.

Both resorts are great for families with children of all ages. Have a wonderful time!! :flower:

I actually think our son will be fine in either. He likes Disney characters, but he isn't "obsessed" with them yet. And he loves Mr. Potato and animals, so it sounds like Pop would be fine, too. So then...from an adult perspective, which would *we* like better? :teeth:
