My DH & I used to agree that WCC was always the better choice except for our visit in 2007. The service had gotten extremely slow, our DD was distracted by the pony races so she wouldn't eat at all, my food was not very good & DHs skillet was slow on the refills.
At CM there are characters that are distracting but she was able to see the food before we put it on her plate. I was much happier with the choices there also, WCC needs to revamp their menu so I have something to eat other than meat, meat, or more meat. At CM, I could have meat, fish, pasta, salad, etc. My DD actually tried different foods that she never would have at home, just because she only had to take a small bite before deciding if we should go for more.
I do agree that you should try the 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian. There was a wide variety of foods from around the world available to try. And those characters were spot on! Lady Tremaine said to my DD after signing her autograph book and posing for the pictures, "Are we done? Yes? Shoo, shoo." We will be going back there again.
