We will be with 3 children 9, 7, 2

I am trying to decide between Coral Reef, Chefs and Tutto.

Hubby likes steaks, I like anyting really. He doesn't want to do Le Cellier with the baby (age 2) I dont' know anything about the atomsphere at the others. Which one would be the best choice for kids and also with great food!! HELP me choose please. I'm torn. We haven't eaten at any of these before. Oh and it would be for an early lunch.

ETA; we are going in Sept so Remy won't still be at Chef's. :(

For lunch I would go with Chefs only because of Remy. I've been dying to try it and thankfully since they added Remy, they now have something to entertain my kids :goodvibes

We did Le Cellier in Nov for lunch and really enjoyed it. My DS2 slept thru the whole meal, which he did often during that vacation. I just pulled the stroller up to the table and enjoyed a wonderful lunch in peace! :cloud9: My DS5 was fine with the kid's pizza. He doesn't need to be entertained, it's my terrible two year old :rotfl:

You can't always plan for the little one to nap, but believe me it's so nice when they nap during lunch. We just get him a CS meal later when we wakes up.

Well speaking of just Kids, Germany is the best of all the resorts I think for kids, no steaks.

Honestly what kind of steak person is your husband, if he is like me he won't be happy at epcot and I suggest Yachtmans or Shula's.. but thats just me I am a steak snob.

The tables at Chefs are so close together. I am not sure you could have a stroller or anything in there. I was literally sitting right next to the little boy at the table next to us on a booth (that is, except for the times he was crawling around on the floor under the tables).

I would vote for Coral Reef. I think the kids would like the aquarium most.

My second place would be Tutto.

IMHO:
Of those 3 option, and with that mix of travelers, I would say Coral Reef.
Chefs (and the previous restaurant in Italy, I haven't yet tried Tutto, so this may have changed) were extremely tight seating (Italy more so). The Coral Reef aquarium would help keep the kids distracted a bit, and I think the pace of service and calmer atmosphere would be a good fit.
That's just IMHO. Opinions will vary.

Since you won't be able to see Remy, then out of those three restaurants I'd go with Coral Reef. Although, the latest reviews have been awlful. :sad2:

I second Biergarten. I think that's a really fun restaurant. They have a German Dinner show while you dine, the kids would love that.:thumbsup2

Have you considered Teppan Edo in Japan? They serve steak. The kids would enjoy the meal prepartion right in front of them. The chef does some tricks.

If you're interested in an early dinner, Garden Grill is a HUGE hit with my kids. They made us dine there TWICE last Nov in one week. They served flank steak, which was pretty good.:)

If your DH is looking for "good" steaks, like the pp said Yachtsmen or Shulas are the best.:thumbsup2

It's not easy dining with little ones. I know what your going thru! :upsidedow

Coral Reef! :goodvibes

The atmosphere is unbeatable!!! Make sure you tell them at check-in that you would like a table touching the tank, and that you are willing to wait for one. It is definitely worth waiting. Where you sit makes a HUGE difference in the experience. We've been touching the tank, on the bottom level across the aisle from the tank, and on the back row. I would NOT go again unless I could sit beside the tank. :cloud9:

I wouldn't pick Tutto. While the food there is some of the BEST in Disney, the atmosphere is kind of fancy. Linen table cloths, etc. They do cover the tables in white paper and give the kids crayons, but it still seems a little stuffy in there.

We really enjoyed the CR in Sept (and again in Feb). In Sept it was my boys (4 and 1 - almost 2) and in Feb it was two 4 year old boys and my two year old. We sat in the same place both times:

The kids did well. They do bring bread while you're waiting for your food. I always (regardless of if it's Disney or not) ask that the kid's meals come out AS SOON as they're ready please. They ate very well. The one thing I didn't like is that we had continually ask for drink refills (that's my pet peeve). I got steak in Sept and thought it was good (not great but good).

We also got an AMAZING cake here - I liked this better than my wedding cake!!!

We'd eat here again (especially if we wanted a custom cake!!) with our boys. DS2 had a great time pointing out Bruce and Crush :goodvibes

I haven't eaten at any of them, but if I was choosing one (traveling with children) based on the information I have, I would go with Coral Reef.

Newtodis, Hi! Great pictures!
just curious, did you order the cake directly with the restaurant? How far in advance is needed for this - we leave next Saturday for WDW. Will probably be in Epcot the following Tuesday or Wednesday and hoping to have lunch a CR.
Thanks!
Ann

I like Chefs de France out of those choices. I like it the best, although I not a seafood fan so

I love Chefs de France, and they do have Croque Monsieurs on the menu (grilled cheese and ham [sometimes with tomato...haven't eaten there in a while]), which is good for younger kids who might be picky.

For your husband, if you're not eating at Le Cellier, Coral Reef is his next best bet for a good steak. To be honest, my family is a big group of steak lovers and we wanted to settle the Yachtsman/Le Cellier debate once and for all (for us anyway) so we ate at Yachtsman one trip and ate at Le Cellier the next day. When it came down to it, Le Cellier's steaks were better cooked and better priced. Never have I seen a filet mignon as fatty as the one I was served at Yachtsman. I also had a problem with the way it was cooked. I had ordered medium. The first one came out rare (very rare, I might add) so I sent it back. When it came back, it was well-done. I was very unhappy with Yachtsman. And as for Shula's, someday I will eat there. But their menu is very pricy.
