Now can anyone remember which attraction in Tomorrowland was sponsored by Monsanto and had promotions by Barbara Mandrell while you were waiting in line?

It looks like Mr. Toad is gonna win. As for your question, I think it was the 360 degree film about America. But I didn't know, I found a neat little page about the old rides and attractions. Check it out if your interested. It lists pretty much everything and answered my own question about the canoes that guests could row around Tom Sawyer's Island. They were The Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes. Now I'll be able to sleep tonight!

This was a tough one. I really loved Mr. Toad, but I voted for the original Journey into the Imagination. I just loved that ride

Nice poll! I voted for Mr. Toad because it was my favorite of all the ones listed (though it was close). After thinking about it, I think I would vote for Journey Into Imagination because, of all the ones mentioned, it is the one that has taken the biggest drop-off in my opinion. Most of the others were replaced by something decent (well, except Skyway, Mike Fink and 20,000 Leagues). Considering that downgrade, I guess I miss it more.

Speaking of replacement rides, I too remember "If You Had Wings", and the song that kept repeating over and over... :-) The most memorable scene from that ride (to me anyway) is still easily recognizable in Buzz Lightyear - the scene where you are in the "tunnel" that looked like you were flying in "If You Had Wings". Ironically, what was probably the best part of the old ride is probably now the worst part of Buzz.

The sad part is that there will probably be other rides that we will have to add to this list in the future if WDW keeps getting thrill -ride mania.
Oh well-not anxious to start a debate--forget I even said it:D :D

I voted for World of Motion, but Toad, Horizons, Wings and the Skyway were all close.

That's the one I miss most, too. The track started out on the bottom and then picked you up on the top, so you felt like you were flying, and the screen pretty much surrounded you (if I remember correctly) so it was like a cross between Peter Pan and a Circlevision 360 attraction. I didn't know it had ever been called Dreamflight, or I would have checked that in the poll instead of "other"! And I definitely remember that song, too...it played constantly while you were waiting in line. Now can anyone remember which attraction in Tomorrowland was sponsored by Monsanto and had promotions by Barbara Mandrell while you were waiting in line?

Musky:tongue:

I agree with Musky. I didn't remember that's what it was called either or I probably would've voted for it. I loved this ride. But I voted for the original Journey Into Imagination. I loved that ride too. The new one's ok, but not near as good.

When I was a kid, and the rides all still had tickets--there was this one FREE ride that was sponsered by an airline Eastern maybe or PanAm--anyway---That was one of our absolute favorite rides. I don't remember what it was called , and maybe it was one that you listed.

It was "If You Had Wings" by Eastern Airlines. At that time WDW had Eastern Airlines as "The Official Airline of Florida's Walt Disney World". Years later, Eastern Airlines decided against paying to sponser the ride. They were having labor problems and could not justify the expense. At that time, Delta Airlines redid the ride and that ride was called Dreamflight".

I loved the original Eastern Airlines "If you Had Wings".

That was back in the day when coupons were used for alot of the rides and some were free. I remember Monsanto had a free attraction that was great too.

I chose Mr. Toad but I have great memories of "If You Had Wings" from my childhood. I guess since it was free back then we always were able to go on it.

Ditto, I voted for Mr. Toad, but I really loved this parade!!

Bump! I had to give it another shot to see if anyone will vote for the keel boats or Superstar Television.
