Which Offsite? First timer...

OK, I am looking into some of the offsite places. They look pretty nice, but there are SO many, I don't know which to go with. Here's what we need:

1 or 2 bedrooms (2 adults & 1 child)
Nice pool area, preferably with a slide
Kitchen or kitchenette
$500/week or less

That's pretty much it. Help me pick a place!

I'm in the same boat, but over the past couple of months(and a LOT of time online), I've decided on the Wyndham Bonnet Creek, its a timeshare resort not owned by disney but close enough that some say it is on "Disney Property" (it's not, but is surrounded on 3 sides by disney property). You can book through their website but I've found much better deals by investigating the possibility of renting from a timeshare owner, there are many out there but one owner that seems to have a great reputation all over the web is Ken Price at vacation upgrades. You can also find timeshares for rent on ebay or through timeshare rental sites, but I would definitely look for someone with great feedback. Again, though, I'm also a newbie...maybe someone who's been there can weigh in...

We are staying at Wyndham Bonnet Creek in April...woot!!

We had our first week there last year and I can't say enough about this resort. And yes, it is a stone's throw from other Disney resorts...we are actually spending our first 6 days at CBR and I'm sure we could walk to WBC from CBR it is that close. Beautiful spacious condos with well-equipped kitchen, living and dining room area and amazing spa tubs! The pool is wonderful (lazy river, zero entry, kids splash area) and they have a bus service to the Disney parks as well. They don't have an on-site restaurant but the kitchen is so nice you'll probably want to stock up on groceries at Super Wal-Mart and cook some meals yourself! (what a savings that can be!)

Definitely consider renting from an owner. Depending on the time of year I'm sure you could get a week close to your budget. Good luck!
