For our ten year anniv. trip my husband and I have decided that we want to try something new at each restruant we eat at. One of the things we have decided to try was one of the cheese assortments. But which one should we try? We will be eating at Cali Grill, Yatchmans, Narcosses, Artist Point, and Jiko. Any input would be great thanks, and pics would be welcome too.:woohoo:

My fave is at CG.

Haven't had cheese plate at any of those, but know the one at Flying Fish changes on a regular basis and is always fantastic!

Don't know about Yachtsman, but between California Grill, Narcoosee, and Jiko, I'd have to go with California Grill's.

CA Grill and Jiko always have a great cheese plate, along with Flying Fish. These three restaurants usually offer five cheeses along with accompaniments and they change their selections pretty frequently, which is terrific.

We were not impressed with Artist Point's cheese plate, which only provided three not very interesting cheeses for the same price as other signatures that provided more selection with better quality. Have not tried the cheese plate at Narcoossee's.

The signature restaurants change the cheeses on a regular basis so don't go by which cheese is offered.

I would say California Grill or Jiko, but I don't eat at either Narcoosees or Yachtsman and Artist Point has problems lately. If you want to try their cheese plate, you can get it in the Territory Lounge without messing with the restaurant.

What problems at Artist Point?:confused3 Is this very recent? I ate there during my Sept 26th-Oct 4th trip and had the best meal of my entire trip (and that includes Le Cellier, Narcoosee, Citricos, Yachtsman, Flying Fish, or California Grill). The manager (guess he was the manager) was making rounds though asking everyone if they were enjoying their meal. He came by my table twice and stopped to talk both times. I thought it was a little strange, how he was asking everyone if they liked the menu and if anything needed improving on. I mentioned that I was glad the buffalo strip was back on the menu and he said yes, it was a mistake to remove it and it would not be removed again. When he came by the second time and talked for awhile I thought maybe it was just because I was dining solo, but now you've got me wondering if it was something else.:confused3 He was really asking for alot of feedback.

Nothing wrong with the food (thank goodness for the buffalo strip), but it shouldnt' take them an hour to bring it and another hour to settle the bill. Not going there again anytime soon.

Wow! I agree. I've eaten there three times and have never experienced that. In fact, I've been lucky enough to have great servers every time. I'm dining there again Dec 18th with my husband and mom. He'll go through the roof if we have service like you did.

We haven't eaten there yet but at places when we are waiting exceptionally long for the bill, see how fast they come running when you pack up to go before you have the bill. That's what we do. We have yet to get to the front podium anywhere where we would ask for the bill at that point. :thumbsup2

Wasn't that they didn't bring the bill - it's that the party consisted of some on the dining plan and some not on the dining plan and some using TIW and the checks were split incorrectly. Sent them back and they'd further split the checks incorrectly and applied TIW to the wrong check. Then a manager got involved and they still couldn't straighten it out. I did have to leave before they finished but the rest of my party had to wait until the checks were finally correct.

the best cheese plate I have had at wdw was at the grand floridian tea room...YUM

I have not eaten at any of them but am looking forward to the cheese plates from yachtsman and Flying Fish (we are eating at these 2). A few months back there was a dining review where the husband was a vegetarian and had every cheese platter at every restaurant they went to. There were pics and everything. I just remember those 2 looking very good. Maybe you could find that older dining review, I think there was something about vegetarian in the title.

I'm going to Flying fish in February and the cheese plate is #1 on my list! So excited! I love a good cheese plate!
