Which of the tabloids were read in your house growing up?

Oh dear…..none.
However we did use to read the NY Post back when it was an afternoon paper and hadn’t been bought by an illiterate.

Weren't allowed to read the Daily News because my parents said they were prejudiced. Of course this didn’t make a difference to young me because they had a cartoon section. In COLOR . My parents would be proud (sorta) to know the cartoon section has moved to the front page….

None…but we were known to sneak a copy of banned by our parents Mad Magazine into our house -

None, except the one time I was in the Star my parents bought a copy. They weren't anti-tabloid though, just not into them. Unlike my grandmother, who was convinced they were the work of the devil.

Funny story:
I had to do a live presentation of a tabloid article in my speech class freshman year of college. For some reason, my grandparents were giving me a ride to class. I had the tabloid with me because I had been working on the speech. My grandmother absolutely flipped out, even after I explained that it was for a class project. My grandfather was the strong silent type who always just let Grandma rant. But on this particular day he had enough. About 10 minutes into her freaking out on me, Grandpa suddenly piped up, "The child has already told you it is for her class project. Now. You. Shut. Up." It worked, Grandma was stunned into silence. And frankly so was I. Never heard him confront her before or since, much less tell her to shut up lol.

We were a New York Times Wall Street Journal family. Readers digest showed up monthly.

None, come to think about it.
With that screen name and avatar and you didn't read the national inquirer. next you will tell me you don't like the Ramones ;)

Sometimes we had the National Inquirer - more for the laugh and the absurdity of it than anything

I did like the Ramones. The Enquirer, not so much.

None. As an adult on vacation I sometimes buy The Star & National Enquier. Depends if I'm interested in the content .

If Woman's World counts as a tabloid for the purposes of this discussion, we usually had that. Otherwise, we just got the local paper and the Sunday edition of the nearest big-city paper.

My Nana would buy "The Papers" every week "just to do the crossword puzzles." She read The Star and The Globe and had a surprising amount of empathy for Princess Diana and Britney Spears.

growing up? none. those were exclusivly for reading at the beauty salon and doctor's office. mom would purposely arrive early at both to get in her 'trash reading'. when mom got older, downsized and did'nt want to aquire any more stuff i came upon the idea of gifting her with subscriptions-she LOVED IT. the national enquirer and star magazine in her mailbox every week! my brother jumped on the bandwagon and added in people magazine. when mom was done reading her current stash she would leave them in the assisted living's laundry room to 'share the wealth'.
