We will be on the 12/24 Eastern cruise and I am trying to decide which night to eat at Palo. We have concierge so I am hoping to be able to have our choice. We definitely want to eat with the kids for Christmas and Christmas Eve so Sat. and Sunday night are definitely out. What other nights would you suggest? I was thinking that maybe an "at sea" day would be a good choice. Any opinions?

I have read on here that some people skip their second night at Animators and go to Palo instead as they only do the "show" on the first night.

is animators always teh second night on a cruise? show pertains to animators? I think you mean that. Thus, just go to animators on the first night of the schedule. The last night we were at animators and they put on a special good bye whcih was not that impressive.

You wont know your rotation until you get your KTTW card at check in. You can go to resies when you board & request that it be changed. So, AP is not always the 2nd night onboard. The light show is your first night IN AP whether it is Sat, Sun, or Mon. The second time that you are scheduled to be in AP it will just be B&W with no light show. The parade of flags on the last night is the same in each of the dining rooms.

I choose our Palo night based on the shows in the theater. We chose Sunday on the Western since that was WBTBAM but that will be Christmas for your cruise. Monday on the Western will be formal night so Golden Mickey's. Tuesday Twice Charmed. Wednesday is a movie followed by Pirate Night deck party at 9:45 on deck 9. That is also the night of the PJ party in the clubs so the kids can eat early & have fun in the club while you dine at Palo. Thursday is Dreams. You could always just book a brunch or two instead of the dinner. That allows you to eat with the kids, enjoy the shows, and still enjoy Palo. IMO the brunch is better than dinner. :)

Shelly3girls - we are going on the same cruise. :Pinkbounc Based on every thing I have read, our most likely rotation (but not guaranteed) puts us in PC the third night. Previous posts/advice have suggested to dine at Palo then. Out of the 12 of us, 8 are eligible to dine at Palo!

We also are planning to do brunch the last day at sea. Don't know if this helps, but its our plan!

Another Christmas Cruiser here!

I'm planning on Dinner at Palo on semi-formal night. It's a 'day-at-sea', and we'll have to dress up that night anyway. Of course, maybe I shouldn't have said that since you'll get to book before me... :teeth:

Thanks everyone for all of the tips. I love the idea of planning around the shows. Does anyone know where I can find out the show schedule for the Eastern cruise? I was originally thinking either semi-formal night (but that is out b/c it is Christmas I think) or Monday night. Friday night is also another possibility, any opinions?

Eastern
Saturday - welcome show
Sunday - Formal night Golden Mickeys
Monday - WWTBAM
Tuesday - Pirate night movie
Wednesday - Twice Charmed
Thursday - Semi formal - Disney Dreams
Friday - farewell show / Kid's show at 5 pm

Christmas is on Sunday, which is Formal Night. Semi-Formal isn't until Thursday.

I think I am starting to get this, all of you are so much help. Excuse my ignorance but what is WWTBAM? I think this may be the night we want to eat at Palo but want to make sure we are not missing a good show.

Who Wants to be a Mousekateer. The kids aren't interested in it so we skip that one for Palo if we can get a resie.

Thanks Lisa! I think that sounds like a great plan for us. Now I just have to hope we get it. Who would have ever thought planning a vacation would be this difficult. ;)

I did a search on which night for Palo's. Clicked on this thread. Only then did I realize the OP was my sister.
