On our upcoming trip we have 2 nights to choose from for HEA. Which do you think would be better and why? We have not seen the show. Me, DH, DS8, DS6, DD4, DS2, and a doue stroller! ;) We are staying at WL so will be able to see the fireworks portion at night from there on other nights. And regardless, we will already be at MK the 2 nights proposed below:

1) Wed Mar 7, park closes at 8 with EMH til 10. HEA at 8. CL6

2) Fri Mar 9. Park closes at 8 but likely to be extended as the night before closes at 9. HEA at 8pm. CL7

Thanks for your help!

It is gonna be crazy packed for the fireworks no matter what, but I personally would shoot for the Wednesday date. You have less of a chance of locals or long weekenders. Are you planning to stay for EMH? Either way I would suggest not trying to get out of the park immediately. The surge of humanity heading down Main Street at the end of the fireworks is insane. You are better off to sit and let the crowds die down a tad before venturing out. Another possible perk of Wednesday is that a nice chunk of people will be heading back into the park for EMH making the exit crowd not as bad.

Staying so close is a nice perk, if you end of staying in the park a little longer to avoid the crowds you still will be back at your resort before most of the people who let before you!

Try and grab your spot as early as you can. If you come in last minute you aren't gonna be able to find a spot and/or you will get frustrated with everything that is happening in the hub. Happily Ever After is and amazing show and you and your kids are gonna love it!! Have an amazing time!!

We are having two days at MK as well and we are doing HEA on the regular 8pm close night. Our second night has the p.m. EMH and we figure the park will be much busier.

I think you could flip a coin on this one. The difference in crowd level won't be that much. The late EMH will draw people on Wed. Fri night later close and weekend, will draw people too.

What I might factor into the equation is what you're doing the other nights and days. How tired might your kids be? Do you have a rest day or a break during the day for either of these? Things like that.

Thank you all for the thoughts! You have confirmed my suspicions about 6 of one, half a dozen of the other.

We' is actually our resort day and no ADR's. But since we are so close to MK I did book FP in the early evening to hop over there. Originally I thought maybe we could do evening EMH as the kids are getting used to these trips now. But we also plan to RD epcot EMH the next day. So taking it easy with a few rides and lounging with some caseys corndog nuggets and dessert while we wait for HEA might be better.

Friday is our last night of our trip and we will do HS in the am (early to sign up for Jedi training). We will leave Saturday whenever we get the car loaded if we decide not to do any last minute rides that day.

I would do Wednesday because then if something comes up and you don't get to see it, you have the chance to try again Friday.

I keep going back to this reason as well! For all I know the kids may want to relax at the pool our last afternoon.
