I am not worried about cost or ambiance - I am worried about taste! :goodvibes It's probably been about 20 years since I have had one, and it will probably be another 20 before I eat another, so I want this one to be just awesome! :thumbsup2 Thanks in advance for your replies...

I think the Monte Cristo is identical. Didn't someone post lately that BB and Cafe Orleans are using the same kitchen now or something like that?

I just had lunch at Cafe Orleans last weekend...the Monte Cristo there was exactly the same as the one I had before at Blue Bayou and I thought the ambiance was charming. Plus we had the pommes frites....which were AMAZING!!!!!!

Thanks so much for the information! DH and I are going for our first DL trip (we are WDW vets) in a couple of weeks and I feel like I have literally stuffed my head with so much information that it is leaking out my ears! :lmao: I think we will go w/Cafe Orleans because I *know* that the pommes frites will be a huge hit w/DH. Thanks again! :)

We always went to BB on our visits and really enjoyed it. Monte Cristo for me every time. On our last trip, we decided not to spend the money on BB and tried Cafe Orleans. We LOVED it! We will definitely go back. We found the food to be comparable.

If you are not going just to try out sitting by the water's edge (which you should do sometime if you ever go back, it is fun), then I think I would choose Cafe Orleans,

My choice will always be BB over CO, personally. Until the day they serve garbage and CO serves everything on a golden platter, maybe then I'll change my mind :rotfl: Especially if the food is coming out of the same kitchen. I know you said you are not worried about the cost/ambiance but the ambiance is 100% why I love BB. I can't imagine not eating there if I'm at DLR. And a water-side table is a must, even if it means waiting a little while longer (and even though they may say it could be 40 minutes, I've personally never waited any longer than 10).
