I'm thinking ahead to next year alread...we're taking our DDs to Disney this Nov, and staying at Beach Club. Next year, I'd like to try the same time, week after Thanksgiving, but at a monorail resort. Most likely GF or Poly, but please vote and give me a reason why to stay at each. DDs at that time will be 5 and 2.5 yrs old. If we stay at Contemporary, would want to be in the tower, if Poly, would want lagoon view, possibly concierge, if GF, lagoon view, most likely no concierge. Thanks!

While I'm sure you can't go wrong with any of the monorail resorts, my vote is for GF. My DD's loved it there. It is a beautiful resort! You would have such easy access to 1900 Park Fare which is wonderful for girls -- Mary Popppins, Alice in Wonderland, CINDERELLA. Also, the zero entry pool would be a big plus with your littlest one.

Wherever you decide, I'm sure you'll love it! princess: princess: princess:

I have always wanted to stay at the Poly. I just love the theming more than the other two resorts.

I'd go for the Poly out of the 3 (I've stayed at CR, and Poly; no desire to stay at GF as the theming just does not appeal to me at all).

I picked Poly for the theming & the pool area. CR is nice, but I just like Poly better.

Polynesian is the ONLY resort you can walk to the TTC from. Polynesian is the most recently re-habbed of all 3.

We love the GF, however, with your children's ages I would go with.."My first and still my favorite.....The Poly!"

In the very small group who loves the Contemporary. We have stayed at the Polynesian and it was fine. Have no desire to ever stay at GF..no appeal whatsoever for us. But we love the Contemporary!! And we stayed in the wings. I can't imagine being any happier than staying in the tower.

I voted for the Poly because I like the rooms, theme and the pool the best.

That being said, my DS & DH would vote for the contemporary tower because they enjoy that the monorail, restaurants, arcade and lounge are right there in the same building with the room which I have to admit is pretty convenient.

I have stayed at all three and you cannot go wrong.

Contemp all the way... our experience has been that the concierge staff was better. You cannot beat the view from the 14th floor lounge...AND we love the theme.

I voted for Poly because the theming really appeals to me more than the others, I have no desire to stay at CR, don't know why but I just don't care for it and I doubt I would ever afford GF.

We have stayed and both GF an Poly. Poly is great if you get a good building and a room with a good view, but be aware there are many questionable rooms. At the GF, almost any room is good and are nicer overall. Money being no object, I would stay at GF.

I'm going with the Poly for my first choice because of the closeness of everything like the TTC and if get a room close to the GCH the monorail is steps away. Plus the theming is great and so are the pools.

My second choice is the GF because of the location is seconds away from MK on the monorail and they have some nice pools also. It's probably out of some people's budget but it sure looks beautiful.

I would only go with the CR if you can get a tower room only. I don't care for the theming or the pools but it would be nice to stay in a tower room overlooking MK at night.

Definitely the Poly, it's awesome. My kids loved the pool and watching the fireworks from the beach. We stayed GV concierge and loved it! It is very laid back and relaxing and the pool bar ROCKS!

I'd stay at the GF if money were no object. Plus you might prefer the decor there if you like the Beach Club. The Poly is a little dark to me, but it has fun theming and a great pool. The rooms are also a nice size. We just stayed at the Contemporary and loved being able to walk to MK. The rooms were also nice and big, but the pool wasn't as nice as other deluxes. My kids still had fun swimming in it though. The price was also much mroe affordable.

I voted for the Polynesian. When we visited and dined at the Polynesian on our last trip we decided unanimously that we'd stay there on our next family trip. We'll be staying there for the first time in July. :sunny:

Why I chose the Polynesian: The location, the views, the restaurants on-site, the size of the rooms (2 queen beds plus a day bed means that our two teen boys don't have to share a bed), overall resort theming, volcano pool theming, transportation options (monorail, boat, bus, plus a few steps away from TTC), excellent reviews of the concierge building and lounge, and lastly it has a nostalgia factor for me; I remember seeing the Polynesian as a child. At the time I didn't realize it was a hotel, but I thought it looked amazing anyway. It's one of the two original on-site resorts at Disney World :) Ahhh....only 96 more days! :teeth:

We've stayed at the Grand Floridian before and enjoyed our stay there, and will probably stay there again on a future trip.

As for the Contemporary, I plan on staying in a tower room at some point even for just a night or two, purely to fulfill a childhood wish. LOL Otherwise, the Contemporary holds no appeal to me at all. I wouldn't stay in a garden wing room unless it was the only room left at any of the deluxe resorts.

I say, if money isn't a big concern go for the GF! Luxury at it's best :cloud9:

Out of the 3 I 've only stayed at the CR. it is our favorite resort :) If you can afford a Tower room they are definitely worth it! The first time we stayed at the CR we were in a North Wing room. Nice, but being in the tower is definitely better!!! Nothing beats being able to watch the castle change colors at night from your bed :earsgirl:
