I am starting to plan our trip for next June, in the past we have stayed off site but have decided to stay on site this time. Which moderated? we will have a 12 and an 8 year old then.

CBR is a great resort for the family. There are beaches, volleyball, hammocks, the boats for rental out on the lake. It is landscaped beatifully. The food court is right night to the main pool.

You might want to check out the links below.

You can't go wrong with any of the moderates.

We really enjoy the Caribbean Beach Resort. It's a beautiful bright resort with pools, playground, hammocks, beaches (no swimming in them though), boat & biking activities and Old Port Royale.

We've stayed at both POR (when it was Dixie Landings) and CBR. We liked the food court at POR better, and the atmosphere at both resorts is great. I would probably go with CBR, your kids might enjoy it a little more.

I'd say Coronado Springs is your best bet.

The main pool "The Dig Site" is far superior to the other moderates, and has the longest curviest pool slide of all the moderates.

The food court is a little different in it's set-up, but you have a broader selection to choose from and most of it is cooked to order.

There are 3 different sections of CSR, and we stayed in the Cabana area, building 8A. This building sits sideways, so you are spared any direct parking lot views. It's a short walk to the main pool, and there is a bus stop right outside the building.

We stayed at the Dolphin for about the same price as a moderate ($129/night). It is considered a deluxe and is on Disney property, but it is not owned by Disney so they have better discount rates. We stayed off-site until we stayed at the Dolphin, and it's about as on-site as you can get. It's within walking distance to Epcot and Boardwalk, and a short boat ride to MGM. They have all the perks of a Disney resort except for being able to charge to your room.

Well that depends. Do you like the look of the Southwest (you know New Mexico, Arizona), the look of the Carribean or the look of the easy going South. Let that make your decission for you. All are great.

I have stayed many times in all the moderates and they are all very nice, the main difference in them is the theming.
My personal favorite is CSR because I like their main pool the best and I love the look of this resort at night.
I would not stay at POR right now because they are going through refurbishment and their sister resort POFQ is closed. I love these resorts but do not like staying in a resort that is undergoing rehab.

My family and I made ressies at POR and then a friend of
mine told me that my daughter would have more fun at CBR
because there are more kids things to do there..So we
switched are ressies to CBR and I think we did the right
thing after looking into it more...:jester:

CSR!!! Check out my CSR website below for some pics and info on the resort. With the age fo your kids, they will love the Dig Site. CSR has a great slide and main pool area.

My family has only been to Coranado & we loved it. The pool was fantastic, a great place to relax even when crowded. We were early risers & never encounted a crowd at the Food Court. We're aiming for Port Orleans or Animal Kingdom Lodge for our next trip in June 2004.
